A million miles away *poem*

I’m standing at a crossroad,
My lover in my arms.
I know were will have to separate,
One goes one way, to the other the other way.

I listen to her breathing,
I hear her cry a silent sob.
My love,
My life.

Her soft hair feels like a sin across my face,
So pure, untouchable.
I turn her around in my arms,
We’re now face to face.

I can feel her soft breath upon my face,
Her eyes set upon mine.
I say unto her
“We must go…”

I feel the tears drip down my face,
The idea of leaving her stings at my heartstrings.
I push her away, wiping away the tear,
I care more than she thinks.
But my caring makes me leave.

I walk along the path that leads to bad,
Letting her take the one for good.
I don’t look back at her,
But I hear her, I hear her still.

I walk alone, down the lonely wide path,
Leaving her the narrow.
Heaven and hell will separates us.
Good and evil.

I miss her even now, now that I can still hear her,
She’s clinging to the memories.
I feel her hair across my face,
A memory what seemed like so long ago.

The path stayed straight,
I hear her no more.
I turn,
I do not see her.

I search down into my soul,
And I find that flame still burning.
The love still burns on,
Even though we’re a million miles away.
