North Pole

Mistletoe plunged under the icy surface, relishing the cold feeling. The strong undercurrent didn't bother her so much - after all, what is a little current to the supernatural?
As she came up for air, she could she Pago lounging on the tip of an iceberg. She swam over to him, and pulled herself up onto the ice. She ran her fingers through through her hairto try and arrange it into something that didn't make her look like a drowned cat.
Pago slid down from the tip and flowed onto her lap. It was so peaceful, in all this quiet...

A black wolf stood on a cliff overlooking the ice. It looked like on of those pictures of majestic wolves you always saw.

At Pago's sudden stiffness, Mistletoe knew that something was up. She looked around to see what had caused his alarm.

((do our characters know eachother yet?))

Natalie sat on the snow covered rocks.

She sighed slightly, staring up at the northern lights in the sky.

((Remember doing this on HE?))

((I'm guessing not.))

The wolf sniffed the scent of alarm, and looked down to see Mistletoe and Pago.

((no? okey-dokey darling))

At the same time, Mistletoe looked up and saw the wolf's form. It wasn't anyone she recognised.
Her ermine flowed to her shoulder as she stood up, tense and ready.
But she sensed someone else nearby.
This wasn't normal... She didn't take her eyes off the wolf, but Pago glanced around.

Shadow leapt nimbly down from the ice shelf and loped over to Mistletoe and Pago, looking curious.

Mistletoe had left her knife further along the ice's bank before she had gone swimming, so there was no way to defend herself. But at the same time she got the impression that the wolf didn't mean any harm.
"Hello?" She said tentatively.

(got to go, dinner, darling))

((Don't call me darling...))

Shadow sniffed curiously at Mistletoe before morphing into her humanoid, violet haired self.

((okey-dokey darlin'))


Mistletoe merely blinked, but inside she was going
'Who? What? How did she...?'
"Um... English?"

((You don't call me darling or any varients of it.))

"English, french, german, russian, whatever." Shadow said.

Natalie looked over at the two curiously.

"Right." She said.
Natalie's movement alerted Mistletoe, and she spun around to face her.

"Hey Nat." Shadow said.

((erm, do I know anyone yet??? I'm guessing no))

She searched her memory for a face that matched this girl sitting in the snow, but didn't remember.
"Hello. My name is Mistletoe." She decided to be friendly with this girl since her new aquaintence obviously new her, and was friends with her.

Shadow morphed back into a wolf, prefering the warmth of her thick coat.

"Cold?" Mistletoe guessed, and laughed.
It wasn't that she didn't feel the cold, but more that she didn't mind it.

The wolf gave a low growl, which sounded more like a chuckle.

"I'm a lucky guesser." She said apologetically, and fell back onto a soft cushion of snow.

Shadow folded her limbs under her with a soft grunt, snow sprinkling over her black coat.

The Northern Lights danced in the sky above, and she felt a wonderful feeling of perfect calm.
"Do you come here often?" she tried not to call her 'darling'. Somehow, she thought, she might not appeciate it.

Shadow shook her head.

"So why the trip?" She asked, genuinely curious.

Shadow morphed back to be able to speak.
"A change of scenery."

"Ah." Mistletoe understood. "it's so beautiful here, isn't it?"
