Climbing the side of a mountain.

Mistletoe sighed.
"Why are we doing this again?" She asked Pago, her ermine, who was sitting in her fur-linded hood.
"Why shouldn't we?" He replied.
"You're just along for the ride, so cut out the we, ok darling?" She said sweetly.
Pago ignored her, and setted himself more comfortably in her hood.
Mistletoe was actually climbing up a cliff-face. Almost there...
She let herself feel the triumphant strain of her muscles as she hoisted herself over the edge, and rolled over onto her back, safely away from the precipice.
She didn't want to have to climb all that way again.

Hyro (or Hyroegliph Boy) looked down at the unknown girl from the ledge he was crouching on. He swore silently in arabic. He had wanted to be alone for a while, to climb away from the noise of the city, and now this strange girl had appeared out of no where!

((grr... my fav animal, they look a little like ferrets or pine-martens, but more elegant, and white in winter, light chestnut-brown in summer))

Mistletoe's eyes were closed as she rested, so she hadn't seen the boy above her. But Pago did. He murmured softly in her ear softly.
"Careful. There's a boy above there. Don't startle him."
Mistletoe didn't say anything, but she gave the tiniest of nods.

Shadow was out flying on Merlas, and she was flying alongside a cliff face, enjoying the wind through her violet hair. Passing Mistletoe, she rounded Merlas back to see if her eyes hadn't been tricking her.

Being careful not to look at the boy directly, she instead looked at him through the corner of her eye and she realised it was the boy she met in the city.
But before she could say anything to him she noticed the rider. She decided that this was more of a threat since she didn't know her motives, and waved to get her attention. She was pretty sure though that she had already been spotted.
"I am a friend." She said loudly over the wind. "I mean no harm. Look, I lay my knife down.' She took her bowie knife out of it's sheath, laid it carefully on the ground before her, and took a step back.
Even if they didn't have that gesture here it's meaning was unmistakable. ((hehe i got that from a book))

Shadow looked at the strange girl and shrugged, leaping lightly off Merlas' back to land in a neat, elven style crouch.

Mistletoe was relieved.
"Hello." She said cautiously, resisting the temptation to call her darling.
Once he had seen that the strange girl was not a threat, Pago climbed up the ledge to where Hyro was crouching.
"I remember you..." He said, trailing off.

"Yes, it is rather hard to forget someone with purple hair." Shadow pointed out to what she considered a ferret.

The ERMINE looked down at the girl with purple hair.
'How did you come to be here?" He asked.

"Depends on what you mean by that?" Shadow said.

"Well, not how you came... but why. We expected to be the only ones up here, but instead we find you and -' He stopped, not wanting to let Hyro know that they were aware of his presence.

"I always come up flying here." Shadow said. "Takes my mind off things."

"Right" The ermine eyed Merlas ((is that the name?)) "He or she?"

((Yup, it's Merlas))

Merlas stretched her nose out to take a sniff at the ermine.
"She." Shadow said.

Pago bristled slightly. He didn't like being sniffed at as if he were food. So he flowed back down onto Mistletoe's lap.

"Peace, Merlas is a vegetarian." Shadow said with a small smile.

Hyro had been watching the people below him. He decided to try and talk to them, to make them go away. He wanted to be alone. The eight year old egyption poked his head over the ledge so that the women noticed him. ((well, "women", they were compared to him))

Merlas looked directly up and whinnied gently at the boy. Shadow followed her mare's gaze.

Hyro flinshed. He'd never seen a winged horse before, and the sight was startling. But he glared into Shadow's eyes, and then into Misltoe's and said as confidently as he could muster:
"Go way!"
He eyes the kind of squirrel beside him. He's never seen an animal so white before.

Pago ran down to mistletoe's feet, and curled up next to the dangerously thin stilettos.
"Hello again, Darling" Mistletoe greeted the boy. "Do you remember me?"

((Mistletoe is 18, and Shadow is above three centuries - or something - so yeah, they could be called women i guess))

Shadow looked at Merlas before shrugging.

mistletoe waited for Shadow to say something, but then realised that they may not have met before.
"Have you met Shadow before, Darling?"

"He's met my sister, Raven." Shadow said.
"Talk of the devil and he shall appear." A voice said behind Shadow. An almost identical girl stepped out. The only difference between them was the hair. Shadow's was long, with two white streaks while Raven had hers short, and an even deep pruple.

Mistletoe decided to be friendly.
"Hullo, I'm Mistletoe."
"i'm Pago. I'm guessing you're Raven."

"Who's the talking ferret?" Raven said.
