Midnight Star flew out of the stable, heading for the forest. He knew that Tomorrow would be there soon. They went flying together most evenings...

"Hey horsey...glad you came...didn't think I'd get here today," said Tomorrow, "I've had so much work...what with my OWL's coming up...but I'm glad I did come."

Star whinnied and launched himself up into the skies, ears pricked happily.

"Oh! I forgot to tell you...I'm not going home for Christmas...too much to do...mum understands...and besides, she's got alot to do as well, what with everything that's been happening," said Tomorrow in a ramble.

"Well...what with the planning of Christmas and Holly and Ashton staying a week over the holidays...well...it doesn't bare thinking about," said Tomorrow, grimacing at a week sharing a room with Ashton Bristol.

"My mum's she same. I thought she was going to kick me our of the air when I said I didn't want to go to the family reunion."

Star wasn't paying attention to anything around him until another pegasus collided with his side, driving him towards the ground.

"NO!" Tomorrow yelled, "STAR! STAR! ARE YOU HURT?!"

"HANG ON!" Star ordered, and bit the other pegasus hard. The creature squealed and flared its wings, allowing Star to twist away and back up into the sky.

"What was that?" she cried.

Star quickly landed again,
"It's a challenge, an enemy." He said quickly, and stood his ground as the other pegasus landed a few metres in front of him. He laid his ears back, and stamped his hoof into the ground, baring his teeth.
