Jamie turned the light of his living room on. He stared around, getting his eyes adjusted to the lighting. There was someone sitting in the corner of the room.

Archangel was leaning against the walls of a corner, hood drawn over her face and arms crossed. She was older now, looking almost as old as Shadow.

Jamie raised his eyebrows,
"What brings you here?" he asked, trying to sound happy at the sight of her. She was an annoying little twirp at the best of times.

Archangel looked up, obviously not pleased to see Jamie. Her eyes were narrowed, and her whole body language was not happy.
"More like what finally brings you back." She retorted icily.

Jamie laughed "This is my house, its my business where ive been... you know sitting in the dark is a sign of insanity.." Jamie still hadn't moved from the doorway, he was, if truth be told... a little scared of this new Archangel.

"Yeah, I told mother to stop waiting for you to come back, and I took up her post." Archangel said. She wasn't scared of Jamie now. She was armed, and she knew how to use her weapons.

Jamie wondered why Shadow would have waited, he was sure she was over it.
"Where is she now?" He asked her, he needed to see her, alone.

"She's out flying with Merlas," Archangel replied, "and you'd better stay away from Merlas. She's not happy with you either."

Jamie looked at Archangel, "Does the whole country know or what?"

"No, just us." Archangel said. "So you'd better steer clear of the rest of the family."

"Right, so why did you feel the need to take over from your mother, surely you want to say something to me?" he asked, "Then you could go.."

"No, I'm only here to warn you." Archangel said, as the sound of wings and then hooves echoed outside. "Cross us again, and I don't think we'll be so accepting." With those words, Archagel vanished.

Jamie blinked at the spot where she'd once been and then went and sat down. He knew better than to think it was the end from them. He knew better than to think that Archangel would leave it at that.

Shadow walked in, running a hand through her windswept hair. She hadn't seen Jamie yet, but Merlas was watching him carefully through a window.

Jamie heard the door open, he knew it wouold be Shadow. He didn't know whether he wanted to talk to her or not yet, m,aybe he ouldn't have to do any talking... she might just kick his ass and leave. She would if Archangel's threat had been truthful.

Merlas nickered a low warning, and Shadow looked up, seeing Jamie. Her expression went from shocked to sad to furious.

Jamie looked up at her, he had his best look of inocence on his face.
"Shadow..." he mumbled

Shadow's eyes narrowed just before she hit out at Jamie with her fist.

"Ouch!" Jamie yelled with a series of swear words following. His nose was bleeding... "And what was that for?" Jamie asked stating the obvious.

"You left." Shadow spat, her eyes furious. Her magic started to reach out around her, causing several objects to start flying around the room.

"If I hadn't have left, I would probibly had killed myself. I was in tip top condition until your fists decided to have a swing at me!" Jamie exclaimed, he didn't know whether he was furious or laughing inside.

Shadow was seething, but she knew that she had to calm down before she turned demonic.
"Come on Merlas." She said, glaring once more at Jamie before turning to leave.

"Shadow!" Jamie yelled at her. "Come on... come charging in here breaking my nose and then just leave! You can;t do that!"

"I didn't expect to meet you here!" Shadow roared back, her eyes turning red.

Jamie flinched at her words, then backed off when her eyes changed colour.
"Ok well I thnk you should calm down a bit hun!" Jamie squeaked at her.
