Reunion of the Demons for a Ruler's Marriage

Shadow stood in the middle of a large clearing, looking around. She thought everything was ready. There was a stream running close by, they were standing in a forest, and there was a granite mountain behind her. She glanced at the row of tables that held food and drinks. It had been a long time since any demon had held a council, let alone the ruler of Aspheri marrying.

Soon, part demons of nearly all races would be arriving to meet, catch up and dance. Then again, not only demons would be there. She knew that Raven was counting on bringing Ahrach to the council, given that he was now almost one of them through his contact with Raven. She had invited Fawn to join them, as she was almost a sister to the princess. Dominique and bart had been invited to attend as well. She ran a hand through her hair. All the preparations were ready, now all she had to do was wait for the guests, and of course her fiancé, to arrive. She was hoping that everything was going to go well, and that no fights would break out between any of the clans.

A crack of the wind, and then a snap. A gaping black shard slammed against the ground, right next to the table. It sent other spikes of darkness around, digging into the grass. A muffled mutter of pain erupted from under the table, as a shaky hand pulled itself from under it and grabbed to the edge. A rather shocked-looking kraferrin popped out, eyes wide She stood up, beaming.
"Finally, Bart, after twenty-one missed attempts, you find the address!" she teased.
The hand on the table fell to the ground. Bart slugged out from under the table, grumbling. "Yeah, yeah, rub it in..." he muttered, standing up, "Hey - at least we got here, okay?!"
"I was starting to worry after we appeared at the North Pole for the second time," Dominique spoke, holding out a hand to help Bart up.
"Yeah, you even had time to say 'hi' to the polar bears," Bart continued, grabbing Dominique's hand and pulling himself up, "Well, that aside, we got here. Ooh, food."
Dominique rolled her eyes, before turning her head to Shadow, and shrugged halfheartedly.

Shadow looked round as she heard the voices of two of her greatest friends. A smile grew behind her mask.
"Dominique!" She said, picking up her skirts to stride over to the Kraferrin and hugging her tightly. The demoness was already in her wedding dress of ivory satin that hugged her shoulders and cling to her form before flowing into a floor length skirt. A silvery cape hung around her neck, and her ruler's circlet completed the look.

Dominique hugged Shadow back delicately, before gently pulling away and smiling. She glanced downwards at her stomach, having become a bulge by then. "I'm sorry," Dominique murmured, "I have to keep an eye out for these two. Bart made me promise. So I can't do tight hugs, even though I would really want to."
Bart ripped his stare from the food to Shadow, and smiled. "Yup," he commented, "they've grown since you've left, four months ago. And say that they should normally be here in a month and a half... Kinda creepy, if you ask me."

Shadow smiled at Dominique before glancing at the sun.
"The different clans should be arriving soon," She said. Almost as soon as she spoke, five demons appeared by the stream. Two females and three males. Their hair hung damply down their backs. Their eyes were an ocean green. Loose clothes clung to slender limbs as they stayed in the shadows of the trees next to the stream.
"Ah, the Kelpi clan," Shadow said, walking over to the demons.
