Appearance: Gabriel is an Archangel, recently ascended to the rank from Seraphim, one of God's warriors. His true form has green wings that are composed of peacock like feathers, decorated with eyes, and he constantly projects a white light around him. He wears a green and black coat, detailed with golden symbols and decor. He wears green boots and trousers, aswell as a black shirt. He has long blond hair and golden eyes, and floating behind his head is an intricately designed golden halo.

His human form has brown hair and blue eyes. He wears a formal shirt and trousers, with a blue tie and suit jacket. Over the jacket he wears a tan great coat made of denim.

History: Gabriel is an angel. He was created by God before the kingdom of man was introduced to the circle. Gabriel was created as an angel, nothing higher up in the celestial hierarchy, but as the years in service went by, and the Humans fought their wars, Demons started to appear on Earth. The Angels were called into service, going down to earth to fight off the Demons. Unlike common misconception, Angels are in fact the soldiers of Heaven, and are trained to fight.

After years of fighting the Demon’s, a select group of Angels were selected, and they were formed into a team, a team of Angels. Each became Seraphim, or as the Humans of the time referred to them: The Burning Ones. Gabriel was a part of this group. The Seraphim were Heavens deadliest weapon against the Demons at the time, bathing the unholy monsters in cleansing, holy fire. Each Seraphim had 6 golden wings to set them apart from the other angels, and each was armed with a specialised weapon: A Seraph Blade. These blades took on a form the angel who owned it desired, and when celestial energy was channelled into their weapon, it would transform into a magnificent weapon of destruction. With the introduction of Seraphim into the Heaven/Hell war, the Demons also evolved, and hellfire was spawned. They combated the holy fire with unholy fire of their own, and it was clear that the Seraphim were at a stalemate with the Demons. More Angels became Seraphim, and the original Seraphim became something more.

And so the Archangel’s were created, Heavens most powerful weapon to this date. Lucifer, the first Archangel, was cast down from the Heavens for attempting to rise in power of God himself, and was imprisoned in the Abyss, in a prison named Tartarus. Abaddon was selected to be his first warden, but whispers from the fallen angel slowly corrupted Abaddon, turning his wings grey, his hair black. His armour took on a dark grey tone, and Abaddon soon started to become demonic. He had joined Lucifer, and he too had fallen. He retained his form, but his powers were no longer holy. He had become a Demon.

The Archangels rectified this mistake. The most loyal Archangel, Uriel, was selected to become Lucifers new warden. Lucifer became god-like to the Demons of the abyss, who worship him as a deity. 600 Seals were placed on the third kingdom, Earth, to further prevent Lucifer from escaping his prison. Only 66 seals need be broken to release Lucifer, in any order, with the exception of the first and last, which must be broken in order and are very specific. The only other way to release Lucifer would be with the 4 rings belonging to the Horsemen.

“And it is written that the first seal shall be broken when a righteous man sheds blood in Hell. As he breaks, so shall it break.”
“The first Demon shall be the final seal.”

Lucifers first Demon, Lillith, is attempting to break the Seals and release Lucifer, 34 have already been broken, and Gabriel has been sent to Earth to prevent Luficer from walking free.

Gabriel has a disguise whilst on Earth. He appears to be Human, and his powers are restricted. He can become his True Form outside of Heaven by channelling a great deal of Celestial energy into himself, transforming his Human body into his Archangel form.

Powers:
Celestial Conduit: Gabriel is a conduit for Celestial energy, able to channel it into the mortal realm in a variety of different ways. Gabriel can create a stream of Celestial energy to heal or harm targets of his choosing.

Conviction: Gabriel can channel the Celestial energy into his body in order to mend any damage and heal any wounds.

Redemption: By channelling a great deal of Celestial energy, Gabriel is capable of pulling a soul out of the pit and into an empty body. (Essentially bringing back someone who has died.) This requires Gabriel to be in his Archangel form, and will force him into his human body. If he is attacked whilst performing Redemption, the soul will be plunged back into the pit.

Seraphim: Gabriel is one with the celestial energies he controls, allowing him to bend them to his will.

Seraph Blade: Gabriel has his own personal weapon, his Seraph Blade. It takes the form of a knife when Gabriel is in his Human form, and becomes a magnificent short sword when he is in his Archangel form. A seraph blade is the only weapon capable of killing an archangel, and is one of the only weapons able to kill an angel.

Archangel Form: Gabriel can channel celestial energy into his human body, to transform it into his true form. This makes him an Archangel on earth until he loosens his grip on the celestial energies keeping him on Earth.

Personality: Angels are unfeeling machines. This makes them the perfect soldiers. It is rare for an angel to display emotion, but it has happened in the past. An Angel is capable of developing emotions, but is not created with them. This means that an angels character is very unpredictable and any amount of developments can occur.

Ah, hello again! Hmhmhm, I must admit, I at first thought you were someone else... I should also say that I love the fact that you included Seraphim, some names and even other things, seeing as a lot of people simply keep it at 'angel' or 'archangel' without anything else.. In other words.. I really like this!

...It's based on the Castiel from Supernatural? Perhaps? Just a guess...

Also... I just discovered something interesting. Did a little bit of research, like I said, nothing serious, but I found an interesting controversy that you might be interested in, considering the characters in this story. Lucifer isn't actually in any of the Holy books as an angel... I was honestly shocked myself, due to the fact that I had openly associated the term with an angel who had fallen and become Satan. However, the term, apparently, never actually refers directly or even in a subtle hint to an angelic being... At least, not so far as I was able to find... It seems rather that Satan is the figure that you imagine, or possibly a more rarely occurring figure known as Samael. However, the Lucifer characterization as anything more than a term used to refer to the Dawn Star in terms of the actual star seems at this point in my research to be quite actually nothing more than mythical fabrication!

The word Lucifer is only ever used in the Hebrew and Latin translations of the book. In English the morning star is still said to have been cast down. The use of the word "Lucifer" in the 1611 King James Version instead of a word such as "Daystar" ensured its continued popularity among English speakers.

The Tyndale Bible Dictionary states that there are many who believe the expression "Lucifer" and the surrounding context in Isaiah 14 refer to Satan: they believe the similarities among Isaiah 14:12, Luke 10:18, and Revelation 12:7–10 warrant this conclusion. But it points out that the context of the Isaiah passage is about the accomplished defeat of the king of Babylon, while the New Testament passages speak of Satan.

A loose connection of which I have been completely unaware for my whole life... It hadn't been and isn't exactly incredibly important to me, but I found it quite intriguing if just from the point of view of the more legendary aspect of these religions. I mean, the idea that personally, everyone that I know of who I have asked of Lucifer, and who I could ask of that 'entity' would associate him directly with the devil when there is really Almost now connection whatever... Although, from the point of view that the Lucifer referred to in the book of Isaiah was just a clever term and the Morning Star later spoken of is Satan, that one could simply make the connection between the terminology and the Latin word which is essentially a name, although one that does fit in some way or other, though it is never directly attributed to him... Forgive me... I find the legends built around these religions which very much appear to be connected to be utterly interesting.

Also, it seems interesting to me that you take the term angel and apply it directly to warrior... Specifically considering both its root and general use in the texts from which you are pulling. Although, I wonder, what structure of angelic hierarchy does this angel come from, if any...? Sorry about being so inquisitive, but like I said, put a shallow amount of research into it and found myself really intrigued.
