Hieroglyph Boy (no real name)
Nickname: Hyro

Male
Good... but mischievous.
Looks like this (kinda):
http://img263.imageshack.us/my.php?image=hyro2bd2.jpgHyro doesn’t know much about his past. He was abandoned in the temple of Luxor as an infant and was raised by the Egyptian gods painted on the walls (mostly by Ptah, the goddess of motherhood with the head of a lion). He learned English from tourists so doesn’t know how to speak it very well. He called himself Hieroglyph Boy because he has a gift for climbing and used to climb the walls of the temples before he was kidnapped and brought to Britain as a slave. He escaped however and is currently living in the streets.
He has a good grip and can climb any surface imaginable. He used to climb to the top of the temple walls in the daytime when tourists flooded the place and was seldom seen. If anyone saw him, they usually thought he was a type of monkey or something. He’s good at not being noticed and is a pickpocket. He can run fast (usually fastest after having stolen something) and is quite small for his age and thin so can fit into tight spaces.
He’s usually quite happy but doesn’t trust people easily. He’s mischievous and optimistic and can always think of a worst thing than the position he’s in. He also has a tendency to get into trouble very easily. He has a thick Arabic accent, but... not too thick.
“Hyro walked through the streets on London. He had never been anywhere else than the temple of Luxor and its surroundings. This was a completely different place! The noise for one thing was much louder. He was used to the babble of tourists, the yelling of group leaders and the distant noise of traffic. At night sometimes, if the air was still, you could here the Nile and see the lights shimmer off its surface. But here, it was noise 24/7! There was no getting away from it! Also the walls and buildings were so strange. They were so plain. No decorations or paintings to be seen. No Gods to guide him in the right direction. Hyro was alone in this new world. But not truly, for in the back of his mind, Ptah was there, seeing him safely to a new life.”
