| I wear a smile so you don't see But inside, I rage, curse and cry
You can't see, What you've done to me You walk away unscathed And I remain, broken
I never thought we would break, That you could shatter my heart I told you everything And you listened, For a while. Then we started to drift But I loved you still the same Nothing could change that Until you said you "Can't be bothered."
It felt like a blow Like a bird of prey Ripping its talons into my heart But you don't know You don't care As you walk away Turning out the light I am left alone in the dark Alone with my fears. Another day ends Another begins Another chance to say these words To make my life worth his Life is swift Death is eternal Who are we To judge that? Everything must die In the end of time In the end Days come Days go Like the swallows migrating Days come, Days go. (For Lucy) Walking through the halls of life A fake smile on a fake face Hiding behind a wall of thoughts The driving needles of other's taunts And you wish to be somewhere else Where the walls of thoughts can crumble to dust And there is no need to be afraid Where the driving needles fall to rest And the face you wear is what you feel.
A Shadow falls, Dancing by the fire
A Shadow falls Carressing the candlelight
A Shadow glides Hiding in the night
A Shadow glides Watching over you
A Shadow watches Watching the children play
A Shadow watches Afraid to be found
A Shadow runs Away from her fears
And A Shadow runs Back to her love.

| Standing by your side Invisible to others Visible to you Tears you cry hurt like knives But they don't see They don't care To see a person in pain Is to feel a twinge of guilt To see a friend in pain Is to have your heart ripped out No one can see The damage they do But for those affected They are blinded Deafened For now I stand by your side Watching you Helping you They still don't see They still don't care But there are those who do Standing beside you. To see Is only to see what you want to see To hear Is only to hear what you want to hear To know Is only to know what you want to know
For some of us, To see Is to see our friends smiling To hear Is to hear our friends laughing To know Is to know our friends are happy.
What we want Is only different to what is true
For others To see Is to see our friends crying To hear Is to hear them pleading To know Is to know their power
Blinded by the ways of others We seek a place to hide To laugh To see what we want to see And not just see The empty mask of fear and pain
To be Is to live without terror or hurt Far away Yet so close Deadliest enemies Are dearest friends
In a world that makes no sense When all the lights of reason go out What is there that remains?
There is life There is time There are friends

| A poem that, unfortunately, might be made into a song by someone who CAN'T SING TO SAVE HIS LIFE! Alba... halp? lol
BTW, the topic was NOT my choice. Stupid teacher who loves the environement...
Ill, sick, dying is our world From times of old Beauty to ashes...
Stand on the cliff edge Look over the ocean Think of the past See the future
Grey buildings reach up to the skies Deep green grass turning into black
Stand on the cliff edge Look over the ocean Think of the past See the future
Dark blue ocean Rising day by day Pale gold beach Disappearing beneath the waves
Stand on the cliff edge Look over the ocean Think of the past See the future
Forests disappearing Like morning mist Leaving only dewdrops And the shadow of wood
Stand on the cliff edge Look over the ocean Think of the past See the future
See the future We must live If we choose to ignore
Think of the past A healthier planet Uncorrupt By pollution and greed
Stand on the cliff edge Look over the ocean Think of the past Shape the future
Shape the future... | |

| I know you looked for me today I know you looked yesterday Will you look tomorrow? Or will you sigh And turn your back I hope you will forget And not remember with sorrow or hate I hope you will forget me But I will never forget you I'll always watch over you I hope you'll forget me And move on Don't close your eyes Don't stay in the past Forget with a smile Remember to move on
I'm stepping back into the TARDIS, and this time, I'm not coming back.

| Letting go
Sometimes I think Of letting go Feeling so alone Nothing but my mind
Scars never heal And what I feel is real No one can save me now I've gone too far from reality
I wish someone could save me But there seems to be no one who cares I need to run away Away from everything I know
I need to let go Forget my past, Get away from this life And just learn to let go

| Ok, we had to write Haikus for English class, and I thought I'd put some up here.
City of towers Within a plain of rustling grass A place I am safe
Silent wolf stand alone Upon a moonlit cliff Looking up towards a distant star
A lone drum beating A single flute playing Let the dance begin
Soft rain falling Upon mortal soul Washing the sorrow from a death.
Silent girl in the dark Cold, alone, but thinking Plotting her revenge
A drop of blood on the floor A dark figure by the window The assassin has come and gone
In a dark maze Voices whispering all around Stuck in a nightmare once more.
Angel of the night Flying through the star filled skies Waiting to be freed.

| ... What do I have to say? They're... Amazing, in my opinion. The delicacy of the words chosen, the flow of them, being spoken aloud each one after the other, the whole feeling about it, it's... It's... Just, wonderful. I need to get writing again. | |

| Nice, like them! Here are some of mine:
In my dank room Peering at the night sky Watching the sun rise
The table turns The diamond touches down Eurithmics blasts through the speakers
Morning sun streams Apartment windows open to the cool breese Warm amp and mike in the corner ----- (the next are about certain artists and track titles)
The Frog Prince, the Night Sky and A Day Like Today, Somewhere only we know Somewhere i'm safe
A Lucky Man, Rolling People and a Sonnet Space and Time One warm Day And a Symphony of Bittersweet music -----(the next one's probably my favorite along with the one about the turntable and record... the one with Eurithmics if you hadn't made the connection)
A flat above the city streets Friends i hold close to my heart Music and the man I love
They're kinda cr*p and I need to work on them. they were just drafts.
