Double The Trouble. [Holly and Hayley]

Hayley Parker landed on the mossy ground, digging her heels into the earth to slow down her broom. She got off frowning slightly, in the bitter cold.
"Holly?" she called out quietly.

"Thats my name," Holly said quietly from behind her, eyebrows raised, "Why do you suddenly need me after ... what? Three years?"

Hayley turned around, cringing.
"Hi...." she said awkwardly, taking in the same Holly she had known so well, who hadnt changed a bit.
"How have you been?"

Holly shrugged, but stayed silent, watching Hayley.

"I ... er.... I sorta need your help...." Hayley said, "I .. did something pretty bad."

"Cant say it surprises me," Holly muttered, sitting on a large rock nearby, "Whaddya do Parker?"

Hayley tried to look Holly in the eye.
"Darren is dead," she said quietly. "And I killed him," she added.
She looked at Holy fleetingly. "Not on purpose!" she said, loudly. "I'll start from the beginning."
She sat down beside Holly. "I was at home one night, Jake was away. But anyways, there was a knock at the door, so naturally, I went to open it. It was Voldy- I know, of all the random things to happen. But anyway, he was looking for you. And he wanted my help to do you in. Sayin as he snuffed your 'rents, and never got you. So I refused, obviously, but then there was all these death eaters, like, real suddenly, and they were attacking. I fought back of course, but it was really difficult. Then, suddenly, Darren was there. He was trying to help, I know he was, but as he arrived, I aimed a killing curse at a death eater, and it hit him. It hit Darren Holly. I'm so sorry," she finished, her voice high, and her eyes glazed with tears.

Holly paused, eyes fixed on Hogwarts above them.
"I heard ... didnt know it was you." she said voice steady, "S'ok ..."

Hayley shook her head. "It's not," she said, "I'm so sorry," she repeated. "I think I would have preferred it if you were mad at me. I hate that your just dissapointed." Hayley stared at Hogwarts also, and thought of all the mad things her and Holly got up to. Best friends, they were. Never fallen out. Until now.

"Mm...." Holly muttered not really listening, "S'just a pity."

Hayley swallowed. "Are you okay?" she asked. She knew it was a stupid question, but she knew of nothing else to say.

"Nope," Holly said, and turned to walk back into the forest, the way she had come .

"Holly!" Hayley called. "Don't walk away, not now, please. I'm, I'm so, so sorry," she said. "Bris...."

"I dont blame you," Holly said flatly, "Im not mad at ya I .... I just gotta ... walk...."
She turned awkwardly and walked further into the forest.

Hayley stood silently for a few moment, then spoke. "Will you come for a drink with me?" she asked quietly, "We haven't talked in ages. I miss you Holly..."

"What kind of drink?" Holly asked, a little differently, turning ever so slightly.

Hayley almost smiled. "Alcohol, silly," she said.

Holly smiled ever so slightly and made her way back to Hayley.

Hayley smiled back, ever so slightly, and hoped to God she had her Holly back.

"Three Broomsticks?" Holly suggested.

Hayley smiled. "I can teleport us there. I learned how to without Blue." she said.

Holly nodded.
"Thanks....lezzgo then."

Hayley nodded, and took hold of Holly's arm. She closed her eyes, and thought of Hogsmeade. Suddenly, both her and Holly were encased in a swirling, confusing suffocating tube, and moments later they were standing outside the Three Broomsticks. "Wow," Hayley said, "It's been a while!"

Holly smiled and opened the door, letting Hayley in ahead of her.

Hayley nodded her thankyou, and walked in, shivering as the heat aroud her changed. "Ahhh," she said, "Butterbeer?" she asked, turning to Holly.
