She got up and walked to one of the torches to warm her hands.

"Do you...not ever get cold...or lonely here?" Natalie asked.

Shadow could read the fire as she could read the stars, and observed it like a painting.

"Hang on...didn't you say...what you were at Hogwarts...you used to have power surges in your magic...do you still get those?" Natalie asked.
