The Second Battle Of The Grounds

"Do horses actually give birth?" Holly asked, but she shook her head, "If either of you answer that I'll throw up."

Natalie was indeed silent.

Merlas didn't say anything until she touched down at Hogwarts. She lay down awkwardly so the two could get off her back.

"I hope you're going back to Shadow." Holly commented in a mutter, and she stepped off.

Natalie stepped off too.
"I'm sure," said Natalie quietly.

"Shadow will let me know." Merlas said briefly before shaking herself.

Natalie sighed.
Her next question came out before she could stop it.
"Will you know it he hurts her?" Natalie asked.

Merlas didn't reply to this one, turning her head away.

"Oi." Holly said quietly, "Do you?"

Merlas preened one of her wings, thinking about the question.

Holly raised her eyebrows.
"...Well......?" she asked, starting to pace.

"Probably not." Merlas said eventually.

"Oh." Holly said, and after a moment she added, "Then why the HELL did you make us leave her?"

"Because I know her." Merlas said.

"So do I!" Holly said, offended, "Kind of ... "

Merlas snorted.
"I've known her since she was ten, in her years."

"Shut up." Holly mumbled, "I was there when her kids were born....."

"And I taught them to ride." Merlas said, poking her nose into Holly's face.

Holly snorted at this comment, but fell backwards, as she was still quite scared of Merlas.
"Well I was the one who ... y'know ... got all preggers via Bond...."

"She doesn't have to worry about me because I can look after myself." Merlas said, rearing up slightly.

Holly raised an eyebrow..
"What are you sayin?" she asked, "I can't?"

Merlas nodded her head pointedly.

"I can." Holly argued, "I don't NEED her to save me all the time ... I could do it myself like..."

Merlas rolled her eyes and turned tail to walk back into the forest.

Holly rolled her eyes too, but hurried after Merlas, not wanting to be left on her own.
"What are we just gonna leave her there until Voldy's done with her or what?" she asked.
