"It's not as simple as that." Holly observed, "What about you?"

"I'll get out. I promise." Shadow said.

Natalie led Merlas out.
"I don't want to leave you...but Holly and Shadow are in there alone...so can I trust you to fight if someone tries to hurt you?" Natalie asked the mare in a whisper.

Holly shook her head slowly.
"I don't trust that." she said, "Remember that time you promised that thing wouldnt kill you ..... the thing Nat did. Yeah, I'm not takin any chances with you."

Merlas looked at Natalie and lifted the young woman onto her back, walking to get Holly.

"That was a case of life and death for you. THis isn't. I have no reason to break this promise." Shadow said.

Holly backed away from Merlas, being afraid of him and what not.
"I'm staaaaying...." she muttered to Shadow.

"Merlas. If you please." Shadow said tiredly. The mare nodded and grabbed Holly by the back of her robes and quickly trotted out.

Natalie got off Merlas back....but they were already out.

Merlas dumped Holly on her back and nickered warningly at Natalie, her ears pinned back and teeth bared.

Holly whimpered and stuck her middle finger up at Shadow weakly before letting herself be dragged out.
Oh that girl.
And her ways.

Merlas grabbed Natalie before walking out.

Natalie sighed.
"SH*T!" she said loudly.

Merlas dumped Natalie behind Holly on her back as soon as they got outside and launched herself into the air, flying away from the manor.

"Language." Holly said, looking ill and pale. She really hated horses.

Natalie looked at Holly.
"MERLAS IS HERE TO PROTECT YOU! And for your information, my language is ENGLISH!" snapped Natalie.

"Will you stop shouting up there or do I have to scare you into shutting up?" Merlas snapped.

"Mine's Irish." Holly commented, "Can I throw up now?"

"NO!" Merlas said.

Holly screamed.
"I KEEP FORGETTING IT TALKS! HE TALKS! SHE TALKS! WHATEVER!"

"One, I'm a girl, two, I appreciate it if you do not yell." Merlas said.

Natalie went silent obediently.

"Thank you." Merlas said.

"Oh my god I thought you were a guy." Holly whispered, "I'm sorry."

Merlas shook her head and banked slightly to one side, Hogwarts coming into view.

"If she was a guy it would be weird...considering she has Star like...you know...her foal," said Natalie quietly.
