A life in the balance

Shadow and Archangel stood side by side, smiling slightly. Archangel had changed her usual white robes for black, same as her mother.

"Where is Onyx?" Natalie asked.

"WITH SHAEMAN! DO YOU NOT LISTEN!?" the trio yelled in unison.

"She's with Shaeman." Archangel said before looking at Natalie. "I don't want her to know."

"I won't tell if you don't..." whispered Natalie.

"WHAT ARE WE NOT TELLING!?" Ash demanded, not liking being left out.

"I don't want Onyx to know that I'm a... vampire. Tell her I'm dead." Archangel said.

Holly fell over.
"DEAD?!" she exclaimed, "TELL YOUR OWN SISTER THAT?"

"We could just tell her you recovered..." suggested Natalie.

"No. Tell her I'm dead." Archangel said firmly.

"Is there always one evil twin?" Holly whispered to Shadow.

"No, Arc's right. Onyx shouldn't know." Shadow said quietly.

"Why?" Holly asked, confused.

"Because it would destroy her mind. Onyx relies so heavily on Archangel that she wouldn't say anything if Archangel went vampiric." Shadow explained.

"So we tell her her twin sister is DEAD ...." Holly said, "Wow ... the sounds like such a good idea."

"It's better for the pair of them." Shadow said.

Holly bit her tongue about the topic.

Natalie sighed slightly.
"If you must...but don't expect me to like it," she said quietly.

"Or me." Holly muttered.

Shadow nodded.
"Ok, let's get out of here."

Nataloe nodded, and began to walk out the Tomorrow.

Shadow and Archangel followed them.

"Let's do that." Holly agreed.

Shadow and Archangel strode towards the exit of the hospital, not wanting to stay there any longer.

Holly hurried after them, not wanting to be left behind.
