Captured memories...

Val Keshra paid no attention to the domestic entering the cave. He looked deeply into the starry sky. He noticed a few star formations he recognized. The galaxy star formation. Stars that swirled into white foam. That is where the Terax planet lays.
Being such at a great distance from one's home, he thought, must be uncomfortable, for me, but also for Shadow.
He looked at Shadow, the domestic next to it covering Shadow with one outspread wing. If Val keshra could've smiled, he would've, but, unfortunately, he didn't have the face muscles to do that action.

Merlas looked at Val Keshra, her head leaning to one side for a moment before laying her head down. Subconsciously, Shadow's fingers reached for the horse's mane, wrapping themselves in the black hair. Merlas had been one of the true friends Shadow could trust her life to, and Merlas had never betrayed that trust.

Val Keshra stood up, and laid the back of his 4-fingered hand on Kaera's head. It was warm. The Terax body has a slight temperature difference with the human body. The human body has 38.5 degrees whilst the Terax body 35.2 degrees. And that's why it felt warm.
Val keshra remembered when Kaera was still an infant. Past, he thought, I'm not supposed to think about that.

Shadow's eyes drifted open, and she blinked a few times. She silently watched Val Keshra for a few moments before Merlas snorted quietly to her. Shadow took the hint, closing her eyes again.

Val Keshra closed his eyes as to rest his visual senses, but his ears stayed wide open and alert to any sound.
The silent shuffle of the wind blowing dead leaves felt comforting to him. On the Terax world, there aren't any leaves.

Both Merlas and Shadow slept peacefully again, their only movement being Merlas flicking her ears back and forth as she stayed on alert.

The night passed quickly.
Val Keshra was the first one to open his eyes, and let a faint blue and yellow light come from his eyes. He stood up, helping himself with his blade. He went outside, and he looked at the not-so-dark sky. The sun hadn't come out yet. It must be near 4 human hours, he thought.
He stepped out further from the cave, streched his leg and arm muscles.

Shadow woke up soon after Val Keshra, and poked Merlas' side. The mare had moved in her sleep, and somehow managed to pin Shadow to the wall. The horse groggily got to her hooves, and Shadow stood up, working a crink out of her neck.

Kaera yawned, and lifted herself up. She slowly traipsed to Val Keshra, stretching her arms out. She opened wide her eyes as the skylight met her eyes.
'Day already?'
Val Keshra nodded. He looked at Kaera, who looked back. Kaera smiled, and said, 'Watch out, Val, you got dirst on your face.' Val Keshra was about to put his hand on his face to wipe off the dirt, but Kaera did that for him. Kaera then looked into his bicoloured eyes, and smiled.

Shadow and Merlas looked at each other, and the horse snorted.

Val Keshra looked at Kaera, then glanced at Shadow. He asked, 'What is this being?' looking at the domestic. 'It seems like a Earth horse with... wings. What exactly is the name?' Val Keshra approached the ecuine.
Kaera followed Val Keshra, then went out on the mountain. She breathed in heavily.

"It's a 'pegasus'." Shadow said as Merlas stretched out her nose to sniff Val Keshra. "Although, she's from my own dimension, not here."

'A pegasus,' Kaera repeated, 'what a beautiful name...'
Val Keshra turned around, sensing the new heat by the woken Sun. His eyes gleamed blue and yellow lights. His muscles tensed and stretched outwards. He then turned to Kaera, and said, 'Stay with Shadow, young one. I'll wander and hunt.' Kaera nodded, and Val keshra went, and disappeared behind a boulder, after checking if the gems were still at the previous hiding place.

Shadow stood next to Merlas, her fingers wound into the horse's mane again. Her eyes were distant, lost in thought and memory once more.

'Nice sky,' Kaera said, abruptly, 'eh?'
She advanced towards Shadow, keeping an eye on the pegasus. She then looked worried.
'I remember...' she began, faltering, 'That there wasn't a sky when the armaggedon war came.'
She turned quickly to Shadow. 'It was just dark lightning clouds, and pollution.'

"Don't worry about it." Shadow said quietly. "Leave the worrying for when the time actually arrives."

Jamie orbed in looking for Shadow.
"Finally!" he beamedout of breath " I've been looking for you for ages..."

"Jamie?" Shadow asked, and then hugged him tightly. "I'm sorry, I've been a little bit busy I guess." She added apologetically.

"No matter, What;s going on here?" he asked

"Helping a girl out with a prophecy." Shadow said. "Makes sense given my experience." She smiled, knowing that Jamie would understand. He had been the one to save her from dying during her last encounter with Karthragan.

Jamie laughed quietly bowing his head. He could laugh about it now. "Who's the girl?"

"Kaera." Shadow answered. She decided to keep the latest news away from Jamie, not wanting him to worry.

Jamie raised an eyebrow. "You should tell me you know, before I find out myself... details please..."

Shadow looked away.
"He came back..."

"Who?" Jamie asked
