Under Kar's influence (Alba, Bart, Matt)

'Ah?' Bart said, looking at Shadow. It seems that she's finally getting to herself, he thought, finally.
But there must be a reason for that. I don't think the father would've just stopped like that. Bart Kraferr took a look about in the room. Nothing had changed. I'll find the reason, he thought, sooner or later...

Raven's eyes narrowed, as if she was trying to read some very small print in her book. Shadow suddenly hunched over, hissing. Her eyes were flickering red again, and Archangel grabbed a syringe, getting ready to give her mother another injection.

'Ah.' Looks like as if I was wrong, Bart thought, she didn't go out as well as I thought. He didn't really know what to do. Help? He hadn't a clue on what to do. Leave it be? If Shadow gets hurt, he'll always regret it.
There are some moments in life where you are completely stuck in the middle of a decision, one part of your body streched out to one decision, the other part to another decision. that's exactly the situation in what Bart felt he was in.

"SHAEMAN!" Archangel yelled as Shadow got to her feet, breaking the roped as if they were threads, and looking around, sniffing the air. Shaeman tackled the demoness, and Archangel darted forwards, injecting the serum into her neck. Shadow struggled for a few moments before falling unconscious again.
"Each time it lasts shorter and shorter a time!" Archangel said, exasperated, running a hand through her purple hair.

Bart was alerted by the yells, but he couldn't move. Out of fear. Out of fear of doing something completely wrong, and maybe putting someone's life in danger. As a Kraferr, Bart learnt on how to not pray on luck, even if sometimes he still did it. He closed his eyes, feeling uneasy.

Shaeman carefully tied Shadow's wrists together again, his face grim.
"We have to find Kar, and kill him."
"We can't." Archangel said. "If we kill him, they both die."
"Well, she's not up to killing anyone right now!"

The conversation that rose between Shaeman and Archangel didn't please Bart. He wasn't used to hear the conversation of death. He closed his eyes forcedly and tried to make his body light. Very light. A way to try to calm himself down, that everything going here is all going to end approximately well. Maybe.

Shaeman turned to Raven, his face concerned.
"You should go sleep. You've been on three watches. I'll get Vrael up."
Raven nodded reluctantly. Shaeman hadn't been asking her to get some rest. She got up, and swept out of the room.

-Hm. I think we wait for Alba, now? I dunno.-

- Probably, but the chances of her showing up are not huge. -

-And here we go again with the goldfish memory...-
