Together (Alba and Shadow)

Vrael waited on the edge of a cliff, looking out towards a city of towers in the distance. He had walked ahead of Alba, who should be somewhere behind him. He had teleported them to Synairn, so Alba could see where his mother and sisters had lived.

Alba gasped as she sided Vrael and looked over the cliff. It's was breathtaling! There was an eery sort of light around the city ahead, like a type of protective shield. The Manticore animagus found it beautiful!
"Are we allowed to go in?" she asked, desperate to see more of this new world.

Vrael nodded.
"You be with me. You shall be protected." He said, smiling at her and staring to walk towards the city by means of a small path.

Alba followed. She wrapped her arm round his. They had met while rescuing his sister Shadow from the Ministry of Magic and had been inseperable ever since. Alba looked up at his face. In the human world he would have seemed frightning and alien, but in the safety of his own dimension, he fitted perfectly.

Vrael felt at ease with Alba, and he didn't feel the same need he usually did to hide in the shadows. She made him feel normal, not like he was a freak along with his family. He settled into a steady pace alongside her, the towers growing bigger as they approached.

Alba gazed at the buildings infront of them. They were like nothing she'd ever seen before! They were made of a silvery stone that shone in the moonlight. SHe turned to Vrael and saw the light shining in his silver hair aswell. The night air was warm and welcoming as the aproached the city.

Vrael looked into the courtyard of the Senate Towers, and he smiled. Within the large courtyard, a moonlight dance was occuring, the music soft and stirring.
"Do you wish to attend?" He asked Alba softly.

A dance? Alba couldn't dance to save her life! But with Vrael by her side, she could have done anything. She felt indistructable!

((It's the same in reality... no, just joking!))

Vrael smiled and used his magic to change Alba's clothes into a dress (being the gentleman, he had closed his eyes of course) before changing his own into some variation of dress robes.

(nice, but i don't think that any boy would close their eyes if they had the chance to see a girl naked lol, well, maybe that's coz all th ones i know are pervs lol)
Alba looked down at herself and saw a beautiful silver gown and felt a silver tiara on her head. She smiled at Vrael and hugged him tight.

Vrael hugged Alba back before offering her his arm to walk into the dance.

Alba was overwhelmed by the colourful costumes and beautiful music that she could hear. She had never felt so out of place in her life, but she felt so much joy and excitement that she soon forgot her worries and started to dance.

Vrael lead the dance, being male and the dances being formal.

Alba could feel her heart pumping against her chest. She could feel her cheeks going skarlet as she stared into Vrael's silver eyes.

Vrael smiled at Alba, looking into her emerald eyes, until the song ended.
"Refreshment?" He asked her, gesturing to the table.

Alba followed the handsow young vampire she had fallen in love with to a large table covered with trays of strange food and long stemmed glasses, filled with unknown liquids.

Vrael was hailed by one of the man there, who had long blue hair tied in a plait (not a West plait, a proper one).
"Ah, Vrael, you have returned for a visit... with a... Human? A mate perhaps?"
"No, a friend." Vrael said quickly. "Alba this is Armen, he was pretty much Shadow's father after Arella died."

"How do you do?" asked Alba, trying to sound a bit posher than she was (which wasn't much), and giving a slight curtsey. This place and it's people were so strange that she didn't know how to act. She didn't know what to do anymore! It was all so different!

Vrael smiled as Armen bowed back to Alba.

Alba stepped closer to Vrael, embarassed. No one had ever bowed to her before! She could feel her cheeks going bright red again. She hated blushing!

At that moment, a siren went off and the people in the courtyard immediately dispersed, heading in different directions switfly but calmly. Vrael muttered something in demonic.
"Come Alba, you must get to a safe place. The dimensio is under attack." He said quickly.

"What?!"
Alba thought she might have misheard him. At least, she hoped she had. Under attack? What?! She followed Vrael as he strode away. What was appening? The siren pierced her head like a blade and was making it hard to think straight.

Vrael strode through the throng of people who were pulling on silvery plate armour as they ran.
"I do not want you in the heat of the battle."

Battle?
Alba's heart missed a beat but she swallowed the fear rising inside her, and asked:
"Where are we going?"

"I be taking you to a safe place while I am unable to defend you." Vrael said, heading inside one of the towers.
