A new home

Prism walked along the beachfront he had been here for hours waiting for dusk now that is was finally here he did not know what to. since recently graduated from the academy he had nowhere to go so he came here, to the beach, his childhood memories flooded him like all of the waves crashing down on him at once

Shadow nocked another arrow onto her bow, squinting down the shaft at the target set up a long way away. Just as she let loose the arrow, she sensed motion behind her. The semi-demoness turned round to see a figure ther, walking along the shore. Her violet hair blew gently in the breeze, and she gripped her bow tightly, ready to nock another arrow and fire if nessecary.

As Prism was walking he saw a girl shoot an arrow into what seemed to be nothingness he decided to just keep walking, but drew his sword when she raised her bow to point at his heart.

Shadow drew an arrow, fitting it onto the bow as she took aim. She didn't fire though. She never sparked a fight unless her other side managed to take over her actions. She waited for the other person to make a move.

Prism held his ground waiting and asked "who are you and what do you want with me?"

"I could ask the same of you, stranger." Shadow replied, standing tall. Her grip on the bow hadn't relaxed, and the string remained taut, ready to fire.

"I am Prism Vultorek of the academy i have no parents or siblings I am looking for a cave or somewhere to rest my head. but if you want to fight I am a graduate of the Elven warfare and will not be taken down easily at all!"

Shadow lowered her bow slightly.
"I am Shadow, Princess of Darkness!" She replied, "I will also put up a fair fight, but I offer you a place to stay should you have no where else to go."

"I am very obliged" replied Prism "but how can I trust you?"

"I made an offer, you are not obliged to accept." Shadow said, turning and firing her arrow towards the target again, where it landed millimetres away from the centre of the bullseye. She turned back to look at the elf, her face carefully expressionless.

"To what race do you belong?" Prism asked sheathing his sword and staring carefully into her eyes

"Demon," Toryn, the assassin from before, said as he walked forward from behind a hill, he removed his hood as he reached the top, however, this time, his right eye was clouded with shadow. "She is a half-demon... like me. I am also seeking shelter for the night, Shadow, you don't have much reason to extend your offer to more than one soul, but would you accept this one into your house, for a price?" He continued walking to the top of the hill, and raised a moeny pouch out as a means of offering to Shadow.

Shadow nodded to Toryn.
"I live alone from my family for the present moment. There is space for you also." She said, carefully unstringing her bow.

"Thank you. You kindness will be rewarded," Toryn said with a bow. He walked forward silently until he was standing less than five feet from Shadow. The wind blew his coal black hair, and he had to swipe it with his hand to keep it out of his eyes.

Shadow lowered her bow, her violet hair being blown away from her face. She ran over to the target to collect her arrows before running back to her previous place.

"Shadow... I'm sorry about before. I really didn't want to have to attack Alba's home and all. It's strange, I have been researching your whole family for decades, and yet, I know so little about you specifically.

Shadow snorted slightly.
"THe records of Synairn are surprisingly scarce when it comes to terms of my family." She said quietly.

"Yeah, I noticed," he replied, almost smiling. "Even what I could gather from archives anywhere was scarce." He looked down for awhile, staying silent. His face changed into an expression as if he had remembered something, and pulled a camera out of his right hoodie pocket. He raised it level with Shadow's face, and took a snapshot.

SHadow blinked.
"The point of that excercise was?"

"I record images of every one I meet, I keep them as memories," he said quietly, returning his camera to underneath his cloak. "Memories die so quickly these days, and this camera holds the many."

"Ok..." Shadow said slowly, deciding that it was probably one of the wierd quirks that some people had. She thought back to the many people she had known in both Synairn and on Earth (and unfortunately those in the demon dimension, Aspheri). She knew them all, and sadly, even those she wanted to forget more than ever.

"I see that you know each other form elsewhere, but how can I be sure that you will not murder me in my sleep....you both being part demon. As I said I accept and thank you very kindly". "But in seeing that I am a newly graduated student of the Academy I would like to know the location of somewhere that i can enhance my abilities to their maximum capability". Prism said feeling the salty air of the ocean flow through his silver hair.
