Why Propaganda sucks

Vrael continued to fire, having felled three vampires already. His mind was focused, drawing and firing arrow after arrow, his bow singing joyously, his arrows whistling as they flew to their targets.
Shiraku had snuck back round to see the battle, but her eyes widened at the sight of the fighting. Giving a quiet whimper, she scurried back to her horse, shaking.

After the last vampire had been felled, Gabriels frenzy hadn't yet ended, his mouth was caked in blood, his fangs and claws were still visible. A crackling laugh started to emanate from his throat as his vocal chords stretched to create the noise. He was laughing louder now, he looked towards Vrael, both his eyes were red now, the black pupil had turned to the same blood red as his other eye, and they were both glowing ominously. He cackled as he sprinted across the street and leapt up the building towards his new friend, jaw opened and snapped close but never met Vrael's skin. Gabriel missed, hitting the concrete of the ceiling, he turned quickly towards Vrael, his teeth extended as well as his claws. He made a strong crackling laugh as he lunged for Vrael...

Vrael dodged neatly, his eyes narrowing. He stood tall, his shoulders squared. He blinked once, but instead of opening silver eyes, he opened four blood red ones. Crimson magic seeped into an aura around the demonic vampire, his silver coming loose from its ponytail and flying around his head like glinting tentacles. He bore his teeth, showing long canines and sharp teeth.
Shiraku scaled the wall, slower than Vrael had been, but arrived at the top to see her adoptive father turn demonic.

Gabriel laughed again, the noise was not that of amusement, like you would expect from a laugh, but one of mockery. He stood up again, as he swung his right arm extreme precision for Vraels throat, Gabriels claws were extended, ready for a blood bath. He was laughing the whole time, his frenzy still unfaltering.

Vrael disappeared before the claws could strike, reappearing a few metres to the left. Shiraku was watching them with wide, fearful eyes, not knowing what she could do. Vrael sent a column of his crimson magic spiralling towards the other vampire, his four eyes narrowed.

Gabriel laughed tauntingly as the column hit him, tearing off his flesh and sending him catapulting into a nearby wall. He stood back up, his rib cage visible and all the flesh from his left arm missing, showing his bone. He roared as he regenerated. He leapt from the building he was in attempting to land on Vrael to rip him to pieces.

Shiraku knew that she had to act to stop the fight. She sprinted, keaping at Vrael and pushing him out of the way, leaving herself in his place. She could see that she couldn't escape from the other vampire's lunge, but she braced herself, her forearms crossed in front of her, one leg behind, her face turned away at her eyes tightly shut.

Gabriel landed on Shiraku, but instantly jumped back off. He shook his head, as his one eye turned back to its normal black colour. His claws retracted, and he closed his mouth. His hair was blowing in the now rough breeze created by the fighting. His red eye was still glowing, meaning he was still capable of fighting, but he was in control, he would not, could not harm the little girl.

Shiraku was trembling as she looked up at Gabriel, her silvery-blue eyes wide and terrified. Her forearms bore a few wounds from the initial attach, and one across her forehead, but she didn't seem to notice them.
Vrael, having regained control over his senses, knelt next to his adoptive daughter, but she refused to let him look at the wounds.

"What did i just do?" Gabriel asked, he seemed confused, he saw Shraku was injured, but all the vampires were dead, "How did she get wounded?" Gabriel asked, as he started to mutter a prayer under his breath. He had no memory of the encounter, he only remebered the first kill he got of the vampires, after that was a mystery to him.

Shiraku was still gazing at Gabriel, scared of him. Black blood was running in small rivulets down her face and arms as she watched him with petrified eyes.
"I think... it may have been you..." Vrael said quietly, following his daughter's gaze.

Gabriel looked confused, he wouldn't harm the little one.
"Why would i harm the little one?" Gabriel asked, as he tilted his head to the left inquisitively. He crouched down to the girls height, and he asked her the very simple question, "What happened little one?" Gabriel asked. The frenzy was new to him, it had never happened before.

Vrael gently spoke to Shiraku in words of another language, and she nodded her head slowly.
"You went into some sort of demonic possession," Shiraku said quietly. She didn't know how else to describe the frenzy, as it was similar to the demons when they were out of control.

"Demonic Possession, thats not good, Demons are impure, impure souls must be banished..." Gabriel answered, he sighed as he stood back up to look at Vrael, "Were you aware of what happened?" Gabriel already knew the answer, but he wanted to ask anyway, it seemed more civilised.

Both Shiraku and Vrael flinched, being both part demons.
"I knew that you were not yourself, but that is all the information I may offer you. I also lost control, falling into the dark grasp of demonic possession."

"So Shiraku is the missing key..." Gabriel stated, looking back down towards the girl. Police sirens started to sound, looks like some people heard the gunfire. Police cars pulled up all around the area, as SWAT and officers started to look around the area. Gabriel watched them, how funny it was to see how humans acted and what mannerisms they used.

- Sorry, I didn't realise I was late leaving for a riding competition -

Shiraku looked at the ground, not wanting to look at either of the vampires. She shied away as Vrael tried to gently look at the wounds. Vrael looked truely upset that Shiraku had taken the hit and not himself.

Gabriel shook his head as he took three steps away from Vrael and Shiraku. He started to sink through the floor, whispering to himself,
"Nothing but killers...monsters, thats all we are." Gabriel said it again outloud, before sinking through the ceiling and down to the floor below.

Vrael watched Gabriel disappear beneath the floor, and then looked at Shiraku, standing up.
"We should return to the clan. There is a new danger for us." Vrael said.
"It wasn't his fault," Shiraku said quietly. "He had no more control over his actions that you do dring your possession."

Gabriel rose out of the concrete at the entrance to the town, he was leaving now, his mission was accomplished, so he had no further need to be there. He started walking out of the gate when his phone rang, he answered,
"Hello...right...got it." Gabriel said as he burst into a sprint.

Vrael and Shiraku landed near the horses just as Gabriel started to sprint. The male vampire gestured after him, and Shiraku nodded. They swung themselves into the saddle, urging their mounts to canter after the fleeing vampire.

Gabriel's hyper sensitive hearing caught wind of the horses, so he skidded to stop, churning up dust and dirt in the process as he was off road. He turned around to see them, he tilted his head to the left, and gestured confusingly towards them, he spoke loud enough for them to hear,
"Why do you pursue?" Gabriel asked, straightening his posture and looking at the other vampires.

Both Vrael and Shiraku pulled hard to get their horses to stop. Shiraku's dapple grey snorted, dancing away from Gabriel. Vrael sat easily on his huge brown mount, looking down at Gabriel.
"I came bearing a warning, and a request. My clan, the demonic clan of these parts, has lived here peacefully for now three years. We wish not to harm the human population, but their views are different. My warning is this: Should one of my family be injured or killed by your actions without our intervention, we will seek our vengence."

Gabriel shook his head,
"I do what i must. If one of your kin falls to my fangs, it will be because they have angered the lord in their nefarious undergoings, i will not tolerate mass murder of humans. All impure souls of the living dead will be banished, euphanised if you must." Gabriel stated. He stood firm, he had faught with a demonic possession, and recovered almost instantly, he could take the heat.

Vrael's face darkened.
"We do no such acts," He growled. "The most dangerous act commited on a human was one of our young placing a bucket of water on a door."
Shiraku smiled slightly, remembering the tricks Archangel had tried to play on the unfortunate humans who came to try and chase them away.
