Back in Aspheri - Open - (Gabriel)

"It's ok, Be'lakor, this way, we will end this quarrel and Aspheri may once more live without threat." Shadow said quietly, her violet gaze not leaving the prince in case he decided to make a dirty move. She had a feeling nagging at the back of her mind that he was going to take advantage of her blindside, the eye she couldn't see out of, but she couldn't worry about such things at that moment.

Be'lakor stepped aside, sheathing his blade. He would let them fight, but he would not allow Shadow to get hurt. He would kill the prince himself if it looked like Shadow was in danger. He had sworn an oath, and he intended to keep it. He kept his eyes on the prince. Be'lakor would step in if needed.

The Prince said something that Shadow couldn't understand, but she knew that it was an opening to the battle. She squared her shoulders, readjusting her grip in her sword before speaking a line from her own dimension.
"Synari Antetren Ilas!"

Metal clashed against metal as the two rulers engaged in their deadly dance. The demoness only just managed to block a strike to her blindside, striking herself towards the Prince's wings, taking a lucky guess that they would be his weak point. She knew that her muscles would ache in the morning. She had barely trained with the sword she now wielded, and she crushed the thought that it could be her downfall.

"Dra bnehla lyhhud feh, Crytuf. Gemm res xielgmo!" Be'lakor exclaimed at the fight. He kept his eyes on both participants, his Daemon blade was drawn and prepared for a fight, in the event that Shadow was injured. Be'lakor smiled, as the sharp tips of his wings pierced through his back, causing him pain. He kept the smile on as his wings erupted from his back, and flapped once. There was no escape for the prince of Merthras.

Shadow had managed to disarm the Prince, his sword lying on the ground, out of reach. She held her own sword to his throat, but she couldn't bring herself to deal a killing blow. She glanced at Be'lakor, her attention diverted for a brief moment before she felt something pierce her side. The prince had used a dagger thrown to him by a guard, and thrust it up to the hilt in her side. She stood and stared blankly for a moment before her sword dropped to the ground with a clatter.
"I win," The Prince said, watching as the princess fell to her knees, her hands on the hilt of the dagger. The prince looked up at Be'lakor. "I win," He repeated.

Be'lakor shook his head, raising the blade. He walked towards the prince, talking into the Prince's ear. "You win nothing." Be'lakor said, raising his blade up to the Prince. "You played dirty. You win only by defeating me. Boy." Be'lakor stepped back, his eyes still glowing that eerie blue colour, which meant he could see everything. He picked up Shadows sword, and raised it up to the Prince. "Lets go..."

"He wins," Shadow murmured, one hand on the hilt of the dagger, trying to dummon the courage to pull it out of her side. She looked up at Be'lakor and the prince, her breath shaking. "The battle goes on for as long as the combatants are able to fight..."
The prince looked at Be'lakor, a slight smirk on his face.
"And this fight means that I choose what outcome our negociations take."

"Go on..." Be'lakor said to Prince, holding Shadow's sword in his hand. Be'lakor was determined that this fight would end in the death of the prince, so his negotiations would be null. "State your requests." Be'lakor grunted, holding the sword up, weighing it, as to best use it.

Shadow was desperately trying to think of a way out of the current situation, but the pain was clouding her mind. There was only one way out that she could think of, but she needed Be'lakor to agree.
"Be'lakor," She said, calling him over. She had pulled herself to her feet, leaving a black blood stain on the icy floor. She breathed in short, ragged pants, both her hands on the hilt of the dagger again, knowing that she couldn't pull it out without bleeding to death.

Be'lakor stepped backwards, not taking his eye's off of the prince. He crouched next to Shadow, so that she could talk to him without much effort. He still hadn't moved his eyes from the prince. He held Shadow's sword with both hands, laying it across his knee as he was lower down. He listened to Shadow's request.

Shadow pulled the circlet from her head, pushing it towards Be'lakor. She was handing over the crown of Aspheri.
"Now he had to start negociations over again," Shadow said quietly, "But I want it back afterwards," She added, trying to make light of the situation.

Be'lakor nodded, placing the crown on his head. "Now we fight. Boy." Be'lakor stood up to his full height, he spread open his wings, revealing their impressive wing span, as they folded again. Be'lakor stepped forward, raising his Daemon Blade. He had left Shadow's sword on the floor next to her. "You may go first, child."

The Prince of Merthras had retrieved his sword, standing to face the Daemon Prince. The enchanted metal glowed with a pale blue aura, a few engravings on the blade standing out. Feathers rustled as he flared his wings, ready to fight, but he made no move. He was wary of the Daemon Prince, having seen some of what he was capable of.

Shadow curled one hand around the hilt of her sword, somewhat comforted by having it at hand. She had dragged herself into a corner, leaving a trail of blood, the blade still lodged deep in her side. Common sense had told her that she had to get out of the way of the battle.

Be'lakor started to laugh as he drunkenly moved forward, "I suppose i shall go first then." He sighed, he flicked his wrist and in the instant was behind the prince. Be'lakor swung his arm that the Daemon Blade was attatched too, arcing it towards the Prince's neck.

The Prince of Merthras leapt up into the air, avoiding the strike. From the air he looked down at Be'lakor, and reached out one hand. Ice started to form around the Daemon Blade. THe prince focused, hoping to render the weapon useless. He knew that it was a powerful tool, and not one he wanted to see on the opposing side.

Be'lakor shook his head, as he leapt into the air, releasing his wings and slashing at the prince. The ice shattered as the blade released an ear shattering scream and left behind it a trail of dark energy. Be'lakor laughed once more as he kicked down on the prince.

The prince found himself driven to the ground, crashing into the ice floor. Shadow could feel the vibrations from her position lying on the floor. She felt no pity for the prince, not while the dagger was causing her such agony. In her mind, he deserved it.
The prince got to his feet, sword still in hand. He coughed briefly before leaping up into the air again, fury blazing in his eyes.

Be'lakor laughed again, as he flipped mid-air and got behind the prince once again. Be'lakor grabbed the prince's left wing, and threw him down to the ground. Be'lakor quickly followed up by dropping with his sword pointing downwards towards his victim.

the prince found himself crashing to the ground again, but this time, he saw Be'lakor diving down after him. He quickly rolled over, twisting himself away from the line of fire, but he wasn't quick enough. The daemon blade pierced one of his wings, and the prince yelled out in pain.

Be'lakor had the prince where he wanted him now. No mercy was to be given, he had learnt that from years of war. "Respect your elders, boy." Be'lakor laughed maniacally again as he brought the blade up, and tried to stap the prince once again, going for the heart this time through.

The prince twisted out of the way again, scrambling to his feet and backing away, his injured wing tucked close to his body, dark blood matting the feathers.
"You can consider your dimension at war," The prince snarled before darting out of the room.

Be'lakor laughed as the prince left. He walked back over to Shadow, placing the crown back on her head. "Do you wish for me to pursue him, princess?" Be'lakor asked, his wings opening back up before folding in again. Be'lakor had a serious look on his face now. "I'm sorry you had to see that..."

"He's not worth chasing," Shadow said, smiling slightly at Be'lakor from behind her mask. She shook her head slowly at the comment about her seeing the battle.
"I've seen wars before, I've fought in them. I can handle seeing a duel." The demoness got to her feel, feeling lightheaded from the blood loss.

Be'lakor gripped the dagger at her arm. He spoke to Shadow softfly. "Forgive me." Be'lakor yanked the dagger out of her rip cage, and quickly ripped a part of his coat off and wrapped it around the wound to stop the bleeding. "Now it can heal." Be'lakor said, tightening the make-shift bandage so that no blood could escape.

Shadow had gasped as Be'lakor pulled the dagger out of her side, a new wave of pain hitting the wound. She leant against the wall next to her, trying to control her reactions. Most people thought that she didn't feel as much pain as a normal person, but it was quite the opposite. As an empath, she was actually more vulnerable to pain than an average person. She was just good at hiding it and lying.
