Deep in the Forest

In the depts of a forest, a stange creature prowled between the trees. It was not from this world. It couls only be described as supernasurel. It looked like a sort of lion and has large cat ears and a long swishy tain made from thousands of poisonous spikes. It's sleek coat was dark wood brown and was dotted with black. It's face however, did not look much like a feline's at all. It looked almost human! It was flatter than any feline's and had similar features to a human. But the eyes were definitaly those of a cat, and were a piercing green.
Then, as suddenly as the creature had appeared, it started to shrink and change shape, until standing in the middle of the forest, was a girl. She had brown hair cut into a bob and wore glasses. she flicked her hair out of her face, and the afternoon sun sparkled in her bright green eyes.

Natalie Patterson walked swiftly, but silently through the trees.
She hid behind a tree, watching the girl.
"Hello..." Natalie whispered, stepping foward bravely like the Gryffindor she was.
She looked at the girl.
"Are you...lost?" she asked.

Alba Manticora stared at the girl infront of her, searching her eyes. A low grown resonated in the depths of her throat. Had she seen her? In her Manticor form?
"Did...," she sounded shocked and scared at the same time, "Did you see that?"

Shadow appeared next to Natalie.
"How many times do I have to tell you not to run off like that?" She said jokingly before turning to the newcomer. Her violet eyes narrowed, and her lips parted in a snarl, showing her overlong canines.
"And who are you?" She hissed.

"What are you like her mother?" Holly asked in an American accent, appearing from behind a tree, "Haha ..... OI! WHOS THAT?"

Natalie screamed as Holly yelled.

"DON'T DO THAT!" Natalie yelled back.

She looked at the girl.
"Um..." she said, holding her hand out awkwardly for the girl to shake, "and...um...I dunno what you mean..."

Shadow put her hands over her ears.
"Stop shouting!" She hissed.

"Sorry..." Natalie apologised, before turning back to the girl...

"You stop shouting!" Holly muttered folding her arms and looking expectantly at the new girl.

Alba looked startled by their apearence. She could usually sence things like that, even in human form. She didn't quite know what to say. She stared deep into the eyes of the new commers, but didn't quite know what to make of the feelings felt inside. Fear suddenly sparked inside her mind. Had they seen? She felt like running. Getting as far away as possible. But yet, she felt a strange craving inside her to know these people. They were so strange. So different to the humans she was used to hide among. She shifter a bit on her feet.
"I'm Alba," she whispered, "Alba Manticora. Did... did you see that? I mean... the... the Manticore."

Shadow relaxed very slightly, but she still had the air of a wolf with its hackles raised.
"I'm Shadow." She said.

"Holly Bristol," Holly said instantly extending her hand.

"But did you see that?" repeated Alba. She didn't want anyone to know about her power to morph. She had been stupid enough to change shape in broad daylight, thinking no one was around. She didn't know if she could trust these poeple. For all she knew, they would turn against her as soon as posible and tell the word of her abilities. And then she would end up in a freek show or zoo for supernatural animals. She growled softly again, as a warning to the others not to get too close.

Shadow sighed.
"I saw it." She said softly, "But you need not worry."

"Why?" Alba asked, "Give me a good reason why i should trust you with that information."

"Everyone has their secrets." Shadow said simply.

Alba stared into the violet eyes of the girl standing infront of her. Her own eyes narrowed.
"What d'you mean?" she asked.

Shadow also looked around before she morphed into a wolf and back again. She shrugged.
"We're almost alike, only you seem human to me."

Alba took a step back... She was like her! Sha could morph too! Relief swelled up inside her. She then started to morph until she was once more in her Manticore form. She looked deep into the ebony black eyes of the wolf infront of her. Alba and the girl were the same...

Shadow morphed back to human form, drawing her hood over her face.

"Thats okay," Holly said under her breath, "Ignore me...thats fine."

"I heard that Holly." Shadow said.

"You were supposed to," Holly said seriously, "Now introduce me to your friend Roth!"

Natalie looked up from her vision with wide eyes.

"Sorry..." she sighed, "I black out again...I'm Natalie Patterson...and I saw it too..."

She looked at Albe.

"Why have I never met you?" she asked.

"You little blacker outer," Holly said shoving her.
