Deep in the Forest

(right, back to the story if you please...)
Alba spotted Vrael heading towards her, blood dripping from his mouth. Strangely, she felt safer with him by her side. She knew she could trust him.
With a last look at Vrael, she through herself towards a neerby auror who was trying to hex Holly as she dragged Shadow to the cell door. She landed on his back and sunk her teeth into his neck. There was a sickening crunsh and he dropped to the floor, completely lifeless.
You need to control yourself! she thought You've just killed him!

Holly looked behind her in time to see Alba's greatest attack. There was no time to say anything, for Holly was now picking at the chains (was it chains? I cant be bothered scrolling up .. lol) that bound her friend.

Vrael briefly put his head on Alba's in a sort of hug before sleekly loping off after another auror who was making hiw way towards Holly and Shadow.

Shadow looked lifelessly at Holly as the chains slid off.

Holly bit her lip worriedly and looked at Shadow.
"S'me...." she said hopelessly, "Holly....? Talk to me dude..."

Shadow just kept looking blankly at Holly, not registering.

Holly swallowed, hoping this was not a bad sign.
She made to lift one of Shadow's arm and put it over her own shoulder.

Shadow stumbled to her feet, hardly in control of herself.

Holly steadied Shadow worriedly and gave Raven a thumbs up.

Raven noted the gesture and signalled for Holly to scarper with Shadow while they cleared up the mess.

Holly nodded, and made for the exit, Shadow in tow.

Alba glanced round and saw that Shadow was out the room brfore changing back to her human form. She felt faint. The Manticore had drained most of her strengh but she was still able to fight. She kicked an auror heading for her between his legs and kneed him in the face as he dubbled over. The men was thrown back into a neerby wall. Wow, thought Alba. There it was again. The Manticore's strengh and power had come out in her human form...

Holly gave Alba a weak hopeful smile, and exited the room.

Alba looked round the room. The others could deal with the rest of the men. There were only about seven left. She had more inportant matters to take care of. Shadow had looked at her but didn't seem to recognise. It was as if she had been just one of those other people that you pass on the street and take no notice of. It had left Alba worried. SHe ran out the room to follow Holly and Shadow

Holly summoned a chair and sat Shadow on it.

Alba ran round the corner and screached to a halt infront of her two friends.
"Is she ok?"

Holly shrugged slightly.
"I hope so... but she's not recognizing me...which is not a good thing..."
Holly knelt in front of Shadow so that their eyes were level.
"Shad...?" she asked softly.

Alba bit her lower lip. Shadow didn't seem to recognise her surroundings. Alba knew of one way she might give her enough strengh to move so they wouldn't have to carry her out, but it might endanger her own life. She crouched infront of Shadow.
"Shadow?" she whispered, "Shadow can you hear me? Do you know where you are? Do you know who i am?"

Hayley bit her lip, her wand still raised. "Shadow?" she said gently.

Raven, Vrael and Shaeman dragging Natalie bolted out of the cell, Raven locking the aurors in and triumphantly holding up their wands before she looked at the still listless Shadow.
"Oh... *insert beep here*"

Alba suddenly made up her mind. She grabbed hold of Shadow's arm and felt the Manticore's strengh flowing through her into Shadow. She let go, and fainted with ewhaustion.

Hayley frowned. "What?" she said, "Is she not going to be okay?" she added, trying not to sound stupid, but failing miserably.

"THE FUDGE?" Holly yelled, jumping up as if having recieved an electric shock.

Vrael caught Alba as she fell and put a gently hand on her temple, releasing soft waves of magic to bring her round.

Shadow seemed to be a bit less listless, but still looked around blankly.

"Shadow...." Holly said chantingly, "Dude.....Speak to meee...."

Alba woke to find herself gazing into Vrael's silvery eyes. She felt tired and completely exhausted. Had it worked? She didn't know. She sat up.
"Thank you," she whispered to Vrael.
