Rockslide

"I'm going to put protections up over Shadow...and then, if you can...will you show me how she got like this?" Natalie asked the Midnight Star.

Star dipped his head once in a nod.

Natalie put the protection carefully around Shadow, checking they were strong for ten minutes, then nodded to Star.
"Show me..." she said.

Star nodded and leapt nimbly up onto a stone , and then another heading up the result of the rockslide.

"Ah...right...and do you know where Shadow was going...or what she wished to do...before it happened?" Natalie asked.

Star looked down at Natalie and nodded before jumping up another rock.

Natalie followed the foal lightly.

Star stopped on a ledge, where Merlas was lying. The foal put his head against a stone that lay on Merlas' wing and tried to push, but it didn't move. It was obvious that Shadow had already moved it a bit before the rockslide.

"Ah...I see..." Natalie looked down. The drop was long.
She sighed slightly.
"I'm going to move it by magic..." said Natalie, taking her wand out, "you go down to the bottom and let Shadow know that Merlas is in good hands...ok?"

Star nodded and jumped off the ledge, gliding down on wobbly wings.When he got to the bottom, he found that Shadow was on her feet, although leaning against the rocks for support. She was looking for something.

Natalie took out her wand.
"Wingardium Leviosa..." she muttered, and the rock on Merlas wing leviated. Natalie then evapourated it, and attended to Merlas.
She put her wand on the wing, and muttered a spell.
"This'll fix it for you," she smiled, "long time no see Merlas...miss me much?"

Merlas nickered her thanks as she stood up, flexing her wings and shaking the dust off her coat. Kneeling down, she looked at Natalie, and then at her back, offering to take her down.

Natalie smiled, and got upon Merlas.

Merlas stood up again and jumped off the ledge, flying down on steadier wings than Star.

Star was following Shadow on her slow search, happily inquisitive.

"Shad? You ok?" Natalie asked.

"Where is she?" Shadow asked Natalie desperately.

"Who?" Natalie asked, "tell me who Shadow.."

"Raven!" Shadow said, starting to look again.

Natalie looked puzzled.
"Oh...is she...in her Raven form?" Natalie asked, kneeling to help.

"No, I was teaching her and Star how to fly." SHadow said desperately.

"Ah...I see..." said Natalie, still searching.
She put her hand into a pile of rock, and felt something fleshy.
She dusted it off the reveal a hand.
"Er...Shadow..." said Natalie.

Shadow bit her lip and moved the stone with her magic to show the crumpled form of her sister.

Natalie frowned.
"She does not look ok," she stated, looking at Raven's face.

Shadow knelt down beside her sister, and checked her for life signs. Her scream made both the pegusi jump as she started to cry.

Natalie jumped also.
She looked at Raven.
"She's...she's...oh no Shadow..." she walked to Shadow, and patted her shoulder, trying to comfort her, "I'm so sorry."
