The Secret

Holly sat by the lake, looking still seventeen, but she was actually older.
Arnold buzzed around her head, annoyingly.
They had a secret.
It involved pie.

Shadow was somewhere else, swords in hand, dressed in black. She had a secret job.

Arnold, whilst buzzing, sensed all the secrets.
She had a secret too.
"Shadow has a secret job." she said secretly to Holly, who was too busy with her own secretish secret to listen.

Shadow snuck through the dark backstreets of a city, the same city that Holly was close to.

"I miss Shad." Arnold commented, "You want to go see where she is?"
"I'M BUSY!" Holly said.

Shadow finished her job and was walking away again.

"C'mon, we're all lonely without her." Arnold said, and picked Holly up.

She PICKED Holly UP.

Natalie and Harmony walked along (Tomorrow was at boarding school)
"Hey guys," said Natalie quietly.

Shadow had quickly changed into her normal clothes and teleported next to them.
"Hello."

Holly jumped.
"Oh ... hi..." she said, sighing with relief, "I was just about to hex your ass there ... lucky I calmed down ..."
She coughed.
"Where you been?"

Natalie looked at Shadow.
Harmony, meanwhile, let her wrist-bands transform into Fairies.

"Somewhere." Shadow said vaguely.

"I get lost when I go somewhere," said Cosmo, almost proudly.

Shadow rolled her eyes.

"That is NOT polite," Cosmo scolded Shadow, and then poofed a bag of corn over her head.
"OH NO NO NO!" Harmony yelled, grabbing Wanda's arm so that the bag was poofed away.
Cosmo frowned.
"What? It might have been funny," he said quietly.

"This may be the strangest thing that's ever happened." Holly commented, "Shut up fairies."

"We only take orders from our Godchild," said Wanda firmly.

"Naaat." Holly said, pointing a gun at her head, "Who's the Godchild?"

"That would be h.Harmony I think." Shadow said, leaning against a tree.

"Oh." Holly said, and pointed the gun at Harmony instead, "Well?"

Shadow scowled at the sight of the gun and took it off Holly.

Holly went to cock (HAHAHAHHA) the gun, but then reaised it was no longer there.
"Oh ..." she said, saddening at the sight of Shadow, "Fair enough .."

Shadow surrounded the gun on a sphere of magic and disintegreted it.
"I don't want to see you with a gun ever again, do you understand?" Shadow's tone was severe.

"Yes miss." Holly said, and she hung her head.

"Good." Shadow muttered and closed her eyes to meditate.
