Shadow kicked out at her father, trying to get to get to Jamie, but he was pulling her back.

Jamie got up and ran back across the room. He pulled out his wand from his back pocket and aimed at Kar "Crucio!" he yelled at Kar,

Kar blocked the curse with a shield of magic, laughing.
"The longer I'm here, the more energy I take from your friend." He snarled.
"Let me go you over-grown excuse for a larvae!" Shadow yelled.

Jamie ran over to Kar and stuck his fist in his face, hoping the old fashioned way would help.

Kar's head jerked back, now sporting a bleeding nose. His eyes darkened, and he punched Jamie back.

Jamie looked shocked that he'd hit him back, his eyes turned black and his face a slight pink colour. "Go die!" Jamie yelled at Kar throwing a fireball his way.

Kar held Shadow in front of him, a manic grin on his face. Shadow's eyes widened, and she tried to summon a shield, but had no energy to do so.

Jamies eyes widened too, but there was nothing he could do... he hoped that his fireball wasn't powerful enough to do serious damage

Shadow cringed, and the fireball struck. The flames left her struggling to stay conscious. Her hair had been singed, burnt to a shorter length. Kar laughed.

Jamie just didn't care about Kar anymore, he ran over and snatched Shadow off Kar.

Kar let her go.
"As long as we're both in the same dimension, she'll never recover!" He laughed.

Natalie, who had been watching this, gasped slightly.
