The forbidden Forest

The spirit looked at Shadow.

"It is not what I am here to do...it's what you did to me," it sneered.

"What I did to you, or what Nat did, because I don't think she's hurt a fly yet." Shadow said.

"It's what you did to me Shadow Roth," the spirit spat. It's eyes blazed red with fury.

"And who exactly be you? I've kicked too many people's butts." Shadow said.

"Golgotha Kulak," said the spirit, smiling an evil smile, "the one you tortured when you were a kid for doing 'evil deeds' against your mother....remember me now?"

"Sorry, no idea who you are." Shadow said. "Try again."

"I protested to have you and your mother killed while you were still young...still fresh from the womb...but no....you had to get your way...ripping me apart with your bare hands...at three years old," spat the spirit.


"Of course she did," Natalie choked, "you are...were...an evil little man...just an inferior human to what she is...an amazing person...and a controlled part demoness."

Shadow thought for a few seconds.
"That must have been during one of my eclipses." She mused aloud.

Hayley, who had watched the whole scene with wide eyes, walked slowly to her friends.
"What are you talking to Shad?" Hayley asked, not able to see anything bu Natalie and Shadow.

"A spirit from my past who took a liking to trying to kill Natalie here." Shadow said.

Hayley opened her mouth, but said nothing. "Oh, right," she said, as if it were normal for a spirit to try and kill one's friend, "She's okay though?" she enquired, woriedly, looking at the sleepign Natalie.

Shadow looked at Merlas, who was still guarding Natalie. The pegasus nodded her head.

Natalie looked at the spirit.

"I don't think it's Shadow you're after..." she said suddenly.

"I don't care who he's after, because he's got me after him now." Shadow said, looking like a wolf with its hackles raised.

Natalie got up and winced.

"But...maybe he's talking about Raven," said Natalie, frowning.

"Raven, gone home." Shadow said.

"Ah..." said Natalie.

The spirit let our a low groan.

"You're looking for Raven? The one who's so stuck to the rules she won't even let herself fall in love?" Shadiw said in distaste.

"Yes...that's the one..." said the spirit.

"Right, you're looking for Raven..." Shadow said just before she burst out laughing.

"Yes..." said the spirit certainly.

Shadow quickly controlled her giggles.
"Well, you've come all the way over here for nothing, because she isn't here!"

"Then where the hell is she?" the spirit asked.

Natalie groaned.

"Do you know anything about demons?" she asked.

Shadow smirked and put a finger on her temple.
"She's in here."

"Then call her....before I make you," demanded the spirit.
