The spirit growled again, but didn't say anything.

Natalie got up shakily and walked to Shadow's side.

Merlas grabbed the back of Natalie's robes, stopping her from going close.

Shadow waited for a response from the spirit. She smiled slightly.

The spirit did not respond.

Natalie sat back down on the ground.

Shadow didn't respond, talking to her sister in her mind.

The spirit paused.

"So you mean I possessed the swot....for nothing!" growled the spirit.

Natalie frowned at the violent use of the word.

The spirit sighed, and was gone in a puff of smoke.

Shadow turned to Merlas and Natalie, concerned for her friend.

Natalie looked at Shadow.

"I'm fine," she lied, covering several burns on her arm with her robes.

Shadow sighed and crouched next to her friend, gently taking her arms and pushing the sleeve up to show the burns again.
"Nat..."

Shadow sighed and pushed the sleeves up again, and ran a hand over the burns, healing them.
