Ceremony in Merthras (Shadow)

The dragon walked along the tower, staying attatched to the wall withs its claws. It peered into windows, to see empty rooms. Below them, in the courtyard was the funeral of Arcen, candles surrounded the coffin that held him, they were burying him in the centre

The cut on the palm of Shadow's hand twinged slightly as she saw the burial of the dead prince, but she refused to let herself feel remorse.

The dragon stayed silent as it climbed up the tower again, moving up this time. It reached a high room, the bed room of the prince, it was vacant now. The dragon grunted, as it climbed onto the roof, and observed the funeral.

Shadow tried to poise herself like a ruler, ignoring the fact that she still had her eyes shut. As much as she trusted the dragon, she still felt as if she was going to be sick.

The dragon just watched the scene below him, it let out a grunt, as it scratched the roof slightly. When the sun rose it would cast its shadow on the people below.

Shadow was starting to feel tired again, and more than a little light headed. Her dress gleamed with her black blood. She felt her eyes drifting closed as she rested her head on the dragon's neck, thinking that a few minutes dozing might help her.
