"How'is she?" Holly asked instantly, without bothering to thank Raven.

"Not good." Shaeman said."

Holly swallowed nervously and sat next to Shadow.

Shadow didn't react, seemingly sleeping. Her skin was even paler than the last time, and her breathing almost non existent.

"Go ahead," Holly urged Raven quietly, "Please."

Raven looked at Vrael, who nodded.
"Of course, our best healer would have to be the one in need of treatement." She muttered. Vrael knelt beside Shadow, taking the nessecary vital signs.

Holly was too anxious to speak anymore, as she watched Vrael. Even though that was Alba's job.

Vrael sat back and Raven brought the subdued demonic half forwards.

"What happens now?" Holly said, as usual not able to hold her tongue.

"We combine them." Raven said.

"Ew," Holly said for no reason, and sat back at little to give them room.

Raven and her brothers seemed to communicate telepathically as Shaeman ripped two strips from the bottom of his cloak, tying one over the Human Shadow's mouth, and then binding her arm to her demonic half's arm.

Shadow's eyes flew open as she screamed in pain, but the noise was muffled by the strip of cloth tied over her mouth.

Holly clenched her fists and watched through one eye, hands over her ears.

"Hurry up!" she demanded.

"It's going to take time." Raven snapped as she helped to hold Shadow down, afraid that she would hurt herself by thrashing around.

Holly ignored this, and couldnt help having her dislike of Raven restored, even if she was trying to help.

Raven and her brothers were obviously struggling to hold their sister down as her demonic strength returned.

Holly watched anxiously, hoping things would work out.

She glanced towards Natalie who had been silent for a long time, wondering if she was as scared as she was.

Alba stood in a corner, hugging herself. She was shivering violently but tried not to think of her weakness and prayed that her friend would be alright. Even through the strip of black cloth, the screams of pain pierced into her mind. Alba thought she was going to go mad with the sound! She hated it! It wade shivers run up her spine and a tear of rage and fear run down her cheek.

Shadow stopped struggling as the demonic half disappeared, and Shaeman, Vrael and Raven let go of Shadow. Vrael walked over to Alba, wrapping his cloak around her shoulders.

Holly looked up.
"Is....is that it?" she asked Raven in a hushed voice.

Raven nodded.
"Just give her time to recover. That was the more crude way of fusing them."

Holly nodded.
"Uh....thanks." she said, feeling obliged to thank her.

Alba lent against Vrael and wrapped her arms around his waist. She buried her face in his shoulder and started to cry incontrolably out of shock and exhaustion. She took a deep breath, trying to calm down.

Vrael gently kissed Alba's head.
"I shall take you home. You should not be here."

"Im ok," whispered Alba, "Im sorry about this. I'm just tired. I need to sleep. It's been a stressful day."
With that, the Manticore animagus pulled away from the half Vampire she had fallen in love with, and went to sit against the wall of the cave. There, she instantly fell asleep.
