"It does exist, yes, yes, yes, and yes." Twilight said.

"Not many people can keep up ..." Ash said, "I'm impressed."
He sat on Tomorrow's bed, and observed Twilight.
"Demon ... wow ... I think that's pretty cool. So what's it like to be in Gryffindor?"

"Strange. Aunt Shadow was a Slytherin, so's Archangel, but Onyx is in Ravenclaw. Eclipse is in Slytherin." Twilight said.

"Strange...." Ash agreed, "My mum was a Gryffindor. My dad was a Slytherin like, but we don't talk about him."

"Aunt Shadow knows who your father was." Twilight said.

"Does she?" Ash asked, "Mum always refers to him as ... well I can't say, it's a bad word, but she says he was awful and ever since I became a Slytherin I worry I'm gonna turn out like him."

"Don't worry. Archangel isn't evil, she's just a nasty prankster. Aunt Shadow isn't evil, the hat just decided that since she was half demon." Twilight said.

"I like your Aunt Shadow, mum told me to call her Aunt even though she's not ... it'd be cool if we was related though?" Ash said grinning.

"Perhaps not." Twilight muttered under her breath.

Ash didn't hear this, but would have been offended if he did.
He smiled at Twilight.
"Can we be friends then?" he asked.
He was very direct eh?

Tomorrow kept her mouth shut, knowing something else about 'where Ashton came from.'

Twilight looked at Ashton.
"They won't let me."

"Who....?" Ashton asked curiously.

Tomorrow listened in, curious also.

Twilight realised she had said too much and kept her mouth firmly shut.

Tomorrow took a breath.
"Is it because of the...you-know-what?" she asked.

Twilight raised an eyebrow, wondering what 'you-know-what' was.

"THE PROPHECY!?" Ash yelled, meaning Harry Potter's prophecy.

"No...not that...the thing where...if you lose it...you could, you know...do us in," whispered Tomorrow.

"Just say 'your demon side'. It's not like I'm going to be offended any more." Twilight said. "And no, that's not why."

"I thought you meant virginity there." Ash said, rather confusedly, "With the 'loose it' bit ... right sorry what were we talking about?"

Tomorrow sighed.
"Sorry...I have to...try not to be insensitive anymore...like I used to be about Ashton's bed wetting phase..." sighed Tomorrow.

Twilight shrugged half heartedly.

"SHUT UP!" Ash said, mortified, "YOU SAID YOU WOULDN'T TELL!"

Twilight just raised an eyebrow at Ashton.
