Hogwarts: Next Generation

The desserts disappeared, and McGonagall stood up, waiting for all to go silent.

Twilight was secretly glad to see the food vanish, and looked up at Mcgonnagle.

"A new term...a fresh start. To all the new first years...welcome...to all other years, welcome back. I have a few announcements to make...one, you will be please to know that Quidditch is back this year...and please note that anyone who wishes to try out for the house teams my hand there names to there house captins by the end of this month.
Two, please note that the dark forest at the edge of the grounds is out of bounds to all students...and three, strict uniform of your own house colours is to be worn at all times...and now, first years, if you would kindly leave the hall with you prefects first," finished McGonagall.

"Gryffindor First years this way!" called the pretty fifth year girl whom Tomorrow had sat beside, and began to lean them out of the hall.

Tomorrow got up, and began to follow on too.

Twilight stood up and followed on at the end of the line.

Tomorrow slowed down and waited for Twilight, until she was walking next to her.

"Hello again..." she said, smiling.

"Hey." Twilight muttered.

"I don't want to get lost...hold my hand," said Tomorrow, reaching out for Twilight.

((Lol...I saw two first years doing that in my school once lol))

Twilight gingerly took Tomorrow's hand.

Tomorrow was being pulled along by the crowd slightly, but still kept ahold, not wishing to let Twilight get knocked over.

Twilight tried to keep up with the prefect.

The prefect led them to a staircase.
"This is the grand staircase...the stairs like to change...so be careful, follow me..." called the prefect, before walking again.
Tomorrow almost had to run to keep up with the crowd.

Twilight was running,afraid of the stairs.

Tomorrow, also slightly afraid, jumped the last stair on every flight, in case it tried to change.

Twilight was glad when the prefect left the staircase, walking into a corridor.

Tomorrow followed the crowd along the corridor.

Twilight still kept to the edge of the group, not really wanting to be around all these 'normal' people.

The group arrived at the portrait of a round lady in a pink dress.

The prefect stopped in front of the portrait.
"Password?" it said.
"Impedamenta Perfecto," said the prefect clearly, and the portrait opened.

((*sigh*))

Ashton snorted and then jumped out in front of Tomorrow.
"BOO!" he yelled.

Tomorrow jumped.
"ASH!" she yelled, hugging him, "what are you doing up here?"

"I came to scare you, but I'm also here to say hi. So, kiddies, how d'ya like bein' in Gryffindor?"
This question was indicated at ... the Roth kid ... *scrolls up* Twilight.

Twilight had nearly jumped through the ceiling when Ash came in, and now glared at him.

Tomorrow frowned.
"What's not to like about Gryffindor?" she asked.

"Sorry." Ashton muttered, "But I couldn't resist."

Twilight sighed, walking through the portrait hole.

"Am I allowed to follow?" Ashton asked hopefully, "I dunner anyone in Slytherin...."
