The Second Battle Of The Grounds

"What're we doing again?" asked Natalie.

"Finding Shadow who refused to open the mind connection, remember?" Merlas said.

"Ah yes...now I do," said Natalie, nodding.

"Yeah Nat." Holly said, jumping down.

"I can't get down there, you're on your own." Merlas said.

"What, to go into this hole the size of my ARM ad find her?" Holly asked, eyes wide.

Natalie sighed, got down her hands and knees and crawled into the hole.

"No, go down that hole that is nearly a metre wide and find her." Merlas said.

"Come ON Holly!" Natalie yelled from the hole.

Holly crawled after her obedienty.

"Hang onto my robes if you want..." said Natalie quietly to Holly.

"I'm not a baby!" Holly said, taking her rattle out.

Merlas used her nose to push Holly down the hole, and none too gently.

Holly collapsed on top of Natalie, and the tunnel collapsed.

Merlas sighed and crawled part of the way into the hole, and pushed the pair of them to a bit further, where there was a short drop into a cavern.

Natalie landed on her feet.

"A cavern is a cave." Holly whispered, "Just so you know."

Leading out from the cavern, there was a tunnel, tall enough for someone to walk upright.

"I know what a cavern is...given that it is bigger, that's why they call it a cavern..." said Natalie softly.

The tunnel split into two paths, one smelt of blood, and one smelt of fear.

"You go tha' way." Holly said, pointing to the blood one, "You know what I'm like lassie."

"Mmm...I will do," said Natalie.
She looked at Holly.
"Be careful..." she said, before crawling into the hole.

Natalie crawled quickly through the tunnel.
