The Secret

Shadow was outside the closed door, spying.

Natalie looked up.
"I got nothing..." she said.

Archangel looked up, and sniffed the air curiously.

Natalie did the same.

Archangel silently for to her feet, and opened the door. She spotted Shadow's cloak disappearing round the corner and gave chase.

Holly sighed heavily.
"Life with the Roth's is NEVER simple." she said, and followed Archangel.

Natalie followed the two as well.

Archangel started to catch up with Shadow, and was soon close enough to rugby tackle her and pin her to the ground.

"Nice one." Holly remarked, "But I've lost sight of why we're doin this."

Shadow stuggled against Archangel's hold, and managed to break loose, running away again.
"Because she's an assassin, remember?" Archangel growled.

Holly nodded uncomfortably, looking after Shadow.

Archangel ran a had through her hair.
"I won't be able to catch her now, she's probably teleported back to her base."

"Should we just leave her?" Holly suggested timidly.

"Maybe..." Archangel said dejectedly.

Natalie stood still.
"I am not leaving..." she said firmly.

"We have to make a plan, find out some sort of strategy to bring her in." Archangel said.

"We could pretend to kill Nat." Holly suggested, "She loves her."

"That's a good one, but how would she know?" Archangel thought for a moment. "Hang on, I know! Hol, if you can change your appearance, you can go to the Guild and request an assassination, and ask that Shadow does it!"

"What? To kill me?" Natalie asked without concern.

"YEAH!" Holly said standing up suddenly, "No wait, I can't change my appearence ... BUT I WILL GO READ ABOUT IT!"

"I'll do it for you." Archangle offered. "And Nat, we won't let her kill you. We catch her BEFORE she can."

"Aaaaaah!" Holly said, "GENIUS! I'm so glad I thought of it."

Archangel raised an eyebrow.

"Ah..I don't mind..." said Natalie, suddenly very aware that Shadow indeed knew how to kill a vampire.

"Shall we do this then?" Archangel asked quietly, sensing Natalie's emotions.
