A bad omen...

Shadow nodded slowly, taking her hands off her broken rib. Vrael watched, sitting on the grass not far off. He cursed the demon in his mind. Why had it emerged?

Bart laid one hand on Shadow's chest. Black magic coiled around his fingers as it disappeared into the air. He thought about the wound merging together. He hoped that work for the inside of the body. Maybe it didn't.
Ah, stop thinking of other things! Concentrate! Bart closed his eyes, and took a deep breath, making nothingness inside himself, and then thought about it.

Shadow bared her teeth in a snarl as the bone snapped back into place. Vrael was still watching, keeping a close eye on the healing procedure. He ground his teeth silently.

Bart tightened the silver bracelet again around his arm. He noticed that his arm was changing colour. It was slightly purple, and it was changing to brown. Did the demonic blood affect him whilst he was healing? Most probably. Bart asked Shadow, 'Are you OK?'

Shadow nodded, slowly pushing herself into a sitting position. She quickly checked her pulse. It was still twice as fast as it should be, telling Shadow that her primary heart still hadn't healed.

Bart hoped that Shadow's secondary heart would stand the time of the quest. It was beating very fast. Too fast. Bart was worried. He REALLY didn't like to have death of his consciousness, and wasn't prepared to have it, either. Bart's face darkened.

Shadow noticed the look on Bart's face, and wondered why. She gently prodded where the broken rib had been, making sure that it had set properly.

Bart laif down on the ground, and fiddled with the silver bracelets. They were tightened enough. A small breeze of wind blew Bart's hair and clothing. His red eyes glistened in the darkness.
Sither came towards Shadow. He looked down at Bart. He didn't really follow what had recently happened, but his senses knew that there was something dangerous in Bart. Something dangerous, thus more worthy to eliminate. Sither grinned at that thought. He didn't plan on killing Bart. He was planning something else. Something dangerous.

Shadow had curled up on the grass, looking almost like a wolf when asleep. Her violet eyes glistened in the light of the small fire Vrael had put together with his magic. She pulled her cloak further over her, trying to stay awake and on alert. There was something in the air, something she was sensing, and she didn't trust it one bit.

Sither went to a wall, and sat against it, his hair streaming in front of his face. His bangs flowed graciiously with the cold wind, and he closed his eyes. His ragged clothes flapped in the wind.
Bart curled up into a ball next to Shadow, to keep body heat. He closed his eyes, and they shone just as his eyelids fell upon them.

Shadow smiled slightly at Bart before closing her eyes, drifting off to sleep. Vrael kept close watch over the pair, judging that Sither could look after himself, wheras Shadow was injured and Bart was injured as well as having transformed recently into a Kraferr/Demon hybrid.

Bart's rest was agitated by dreadful nightmares. He normally got them, but they weren't as realistic as this one. He had all his senses; feel, see, hear, smell and taste.
He could feel the blood pouring down on his body, see it glinting, hearing it splashing as it came onto the ground, smell the faint aroma, and taste the viscious, salty liquid.

Shadow woke up, her empathy sensing Bart's emotions. She sat up, gently shaking his shoulder. Vrael watched them carefully, as if he was expecting something to happen.

Bart woke up in a jolt. He heard a sentence echo through his mind.
Rivers of blood shall waterfall as you finish your quest...
That's what a dark kraferr told him. A dark Kraferr, as in one hidden in dark clothing. He shivered a bit, and saw that Shadow had her hand on his shoulder. He put his face into the palm of his hand, and streched his face.

"You ok?" Shadow asked quietly. She knew the emotions behind his behaviour, but she didn't know how or why he had been like that. Vrael had started to clean his bow, but he was secretly keeping an ear on their conversation.

'Just a few...' Bart continued, slowly catching his breath, still thinking of that sentence, 'A few disturbed dreams. Happens all the time.'
Bart didn't want Shadow to read his mind. It would just make things more complicated. He closed his eyes, the sentence still echoing.

Shadow raised one eyebrow, not fully believing Bart, but she accepted that he probably didn't want to share his dreams. She curled up again, but discreetly kept one eye open to watch Bart carefully.

Bart stayed in his postition, eyes closed. He couldn't go back to sleep. Now this voice was haunting him. He completely forgot about that sentence. What did the Kraferr mean? Was it an Outlaw? Was it a Ku' Rutiek?
Questions popped up into Bart's mind every second. He just couldn't stand it. he was tired, very tired. He fell backwards, and began to rest.

Shadow was curled in an almost fetal position, but somehow managed to look wolf-like in her position. She dozed, one eye open to watch for danger. Every now and then, she would change eyes to rest the other one.

Bart was not sleeping, but he was half-sleeping. Images of the Kraferr passed into his head. It's lips moved slowly, always repeating the same sentence. What did that Kraferr mean? Would it try to kill? No. At least, I don't think so...

Both of Shadow's eyes were open, but she didn't seem to be seeing anything. Her eyes were slightly narrowed, teeth bared in a small snarl. Her hands tightened into fists as she fell into the dream world she usually did anything to avoid.

Sither stayed near, thinking. He was plotting. Plotting something bad, when you see the look on his face. He turned around sharply, sensing something. He decided not to tell the others, but he went into the direction from where he sensed something.

Vrael stood up silently, going to follow Sither. He kept himself to the shadows, not wanting to be seen. He had no idea why this strange person had decided to suddenly leave, but he intended to find out.

Sither kept a hand on his dagger, if ever he needed it. Normally, he would transform fast enough into his praying mantis form, but better safe then sorry. Sither glanced around. Nothing. At least, nothing visible. Sither used his developed praying mantis senses. No need for vision with those.
Yes.
There's a being not far. Not human. Tail. Hairy. A Kraferr?
Sither advanced.

Vrael's hand gripped his bow, and arrow loosly nocked onto the string. He sensed something close, but couldn't tell what. He closed his eyes, using his other senses to try and find out what. He could sense the rough form of they being, but the secies of which still escaped him.
