A bad omen...

I'll check every magic you have, Shadow, bart thought, smirking. He raised an eyebrow, and closed his eyes. 'You didn't notice, Shadow,' Bart said, a slight stern voice in the depths of his words, 'That there was no one on the window?'

"You think I'm stupid? I would have been noticed had there been someone there." Shadow said. "There are no wolves in this part of the city." She started to walk away. "Next time you set a task, try not setting it right after an attack." Under her cloak, her hand was over her heart, making sure that the makeshift bandage was still in place.

'I thought that you would've not changed into a wolf and waste magic if you had noticed,' Bart said, keeping still at the same place, 'No, Shadow?'
Bart then continued to walk the path, aiming the same direction as before.

"Yeah, purple haired girls must walk past that window every day." Shadow replied sarcastically.

Bart sighed, walked some more, his hands in his pockets. He looked about, thinking about something else. Someone else. But he wasn't on guard anymore. And that was his problem. Little did Bart know that they were being watched.
'A...' The figure said, crouching over a building roof, 'A necklace... That can answer any question?' The figure stood up, and smirked, 'That's just what I need.'

Shadow walked behind him again, maintaining her silence. Her hand was still over her heart. Transforming like that had hurt. Her mind sensed something, but she didn't pay any attention to it.

The figure dropped down onto the earth, alerting Bart, who immediately took action and blocked the passage to Shadow in case of any attack. The figure lifted it's hand, and said, 'I wish not to fight,' The figure stepped into a light created by a lantern, revealing it's pitch black hair and it's other bizarre physical traits, 'I am Sither. Sither Moonspike, last Kuijin standing of the Yul tribe. I think Shadow already knows me.'

"Sither? What are you doing here?" Shadow asked, one eyebrow raised.

'That does not concern you, Shadow,' replied Sither, 'I just found you here, and I noticed that you were going on a sort of... journey.'
Bart lowered his arms, and said, 'I'm Bart,' his red eyes glistened, 'The journey you are talking about is a quest that I'm supposed to bear.'
'Bart,' Sither said, slowly turning his head, 'Know that I will be of great help in this quest.'
'How?' Bart retorted.
'I have a few... battle skills,' Sither said, lifting one hand and tightening it into a fist, 'And survival talents, also.'
Bart shrugged. He didn't really know Sither, but since Shadow knew him, he should ask Shadow whether to let him join or not. 'So, Shadow?' Bart asked.

"We have only met once. My knowledge of him is limited." Shadow said. "The little that I know tells me that he is not hostile."

Sither smirked. Bart looked at him, and shrugged, 'Well then,' Bart said, his red eyes glistening in the dark, 'Sither, you may join us.' Bart looked at Sither, who had his two hands in the pockets of his ragged pants. Sither wore a long-sleeved baggy shirt, and baggy pants. Bart turned around, facing the direction they were heading before. Sither noticed Shadow's wound. 'Shadow... You're hurt?' asked Sither.

Shadow's hand strayed to the wound over her heart.
"It's nothing." She replied quickly. "We should get a move on before someone else finds us."

Sither stayed silent, and he continued to tread the path, his hands still in his pockets. Bart was walking up front. He didn't know why, but it recomforted him to be in that position. As they reached the outskirts of the city, they were in front of a dense forest on a small mountain. Bart waited there for the two others.

Shadow walked behind the other two, staying on alert. She wasn't sure that Sither had been the only threat there.

Sither arrived at Bart's location point. He stopped there, his arms crossed. I'll be able to ask it, he thought, the question I longed for asking. Sither grinned.
Bart noticed Sither, and asked, 'What're you grinning about?'
Sither coughed sarcastically, 'Do you need to know?' Sither retorted. Bart didn't pay attention, bu he stayed cautious about Sither, because he didn't know whether he was hostile or ally.

Shadow scowled at Sither.
"Wipe the look of your face Sither." She said with a bored tone. One hand was resting on the hilt of one sword again, ready to draw if she needed to.

Sither grunted, and looked ahead. He then looked at Bart, who was looking straight ahead, blankly. His praying mantis senses were picking something. Something unknown to his senses, never noticed before. Bart looked around. Nothing was moving. But there was something wrong. Bart noticed a black snake-like object move on the ground. A tail, he thought, Would the Ku' Rutiek have noticed us and followed us here?
'Shadow, Sither,' Bart said, getting ready to any hostile forces, 'I think we may have company.'
Bart was worried; both Shadow and himself were wounded, greatly disadvantaging them.

Shadow narrowed her eyes at the mention of a possible enemy. A low metallic rasp echoed through the air as she drew both her swords. She knew that she was in no state to fight. SHe couldn't even morph! Bart wasn't in any better shape, that much she knew. Sither was their only chance of winning a battle now.

Sither crouched, and started morphing. His head elongated, his arms slowly morphed a third articulation and spikes, his bangs became antannaes, and his body slowly turning horizontal and getting a new pair of legs, and growing.
Bart was surprised at Sither's transformation. Another morpher, he thought. Bart quickly went into his battle pose, his claws beared and ready to attack. Sither finished his transformation, and his senses were better. 'There are 3 enemies at our right, and 6 on our left. There is a probability to have enemies above us, too.' said Sither.
Bart grunted. Outlaws aren't very trained, he thought, but heck, if there are more than 10, we'll be dead in 5 minutes. Bart's Kraferr body started pumping adrenalin into every muscle, and the heart automatically reduced the digestive system works and went on straight into the more important organs that Bart would have to use in battle.

Shadow stood at the ready, cursing in her mind. 10 enemies? They would be toast...

Bart's eyes glistened in the black darkness of the nightime. A black figure slithered past them, causing Bart to tense. He lunged to the figure, causing it to fall. He checked what the being was. It showed it's blood red eyes, and Bart cursed. A Kraferr Outlaw, he thought. The enemy Kraferr grinned, and it attacked Bart using it's deathly claws. Bart blocked it, and jumped away. Sither prepared himself to attack.

Shadow threw one sword at another enemy, and took the remaining one in both hands. She could see in the dark, but the fact that the enemy Kraferrs were clothed in black made it a lot harder. SHe closed her eyes, relying on her mind and her hearing to locate them.

The others jumped out of their hiding places, revealing their fangs and their deathly claws. Bart cursed, and he hand chopped the Kraferr he was on, making it go unconscious, and he turned to the attacking enemies. Sither took one in his guilltine arms, and crushed the Kraferr.
Bart jumped, fell down, and slid side to side, hoping he wouldn't get attacked because of his speed. The chief of the group yelled, 'Slay the One and his allies!' and it rushed at Bart.

Shadow lashed out at another outlaw with her sword, half severing its head. She let her instincts guide her, falling into an almost dance like fight with her sword.

Whilst the chief was lunging towards Bart, it prepared to do a piercing attack using it's claws. Bart grabbed the arm and used the centrifugal force to backdrop the chief onto the ground behind him, damaging the chief's head and knocking it out. Sither sliced another Outlaw, killing it. A second Outlaw appeared behind Sither, but he didn't notice. Bart blocked several hits from his enemy. This slightly opened Bart's wound, and he grunted. He pulled his enemy, and punched it in the stomach whilst still pulling, giving additional strength to the blow.
