A bad omen...

Shadow nodded, and started to move in, walking with a limp. She kept a wary eye on Bart, knowing that he would be unpredictable with his demonic form. Vrael walked alongside her, helping her keep most of the weight off her injured leg.

Bart walked towards the forest. He took a last glance at the moon, knowing that the trees would hide it once he would be in the forest. The figure wasn't there anymore. A deathly shape appeared. Bart frowned, and continued his way. He didn't want to predict what would happen, as he didn't want to know if it was good or bad. He just wanted it done. In a few days, it should be.
Hopefully.

Shadow and Vrael slowed to walk alongside Bart. They didn't speak to each other, knowing what was going through each other's minds. Vrael was helping Shadow to keep the weight off one leg, which he knew was one of the very few ways he could help her to heal it.

Ok, sorry about the absence, but I was in New York, then Spain, then Scotland and then back to Spain again... All in all, I did 5 countries in less than a week. So please tell me what the fff... heck has been going on in my absence. please... lol

Okay. Eh, excuses noted down, sooo, er...
Basic summary of stuff/crap/w/e that happened recently (as far as I remember)
-Vrael found out about the blood transfusion
-Sither went completely nuts, then went away after he got his eyeballs slashed out by Bart.
-Then, er, I think those were the two main important events.
Other then that, there's something called (alas, what I hate to do) read.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiight... euh, the eyeball thing really makes me cringe (sensitive about things getting neer my face, long story) lol

Alba walked up to Shadow, wondering what to say next.
"Euh...," so she said the first thing that came to mind, "Does anyone fancy a drink? I know a good pub just round the corner ((if we are still in the city)), we could go there..."

((Sorry, first thing that came to mind, lol. I'v got to stop thinking about these things, haha lol
That was a joke, I'm not an alcoholic! lol))

Vrael and Shadow turned around, both demons looking tired.
"Yeah, we could," Shadow said after a few moments of a blank look on her face.

((Right, could you tell me what characters are still in the picture so i don't go talking to people that arn't there. lol))

"Cool," said Alba, a grin spreading across her face, "Follow me."
She headed off down a street lit by rusting street lights. The orange light pooled on the cold concrete of the pavement as Alba walked over it with certanty. She turned a few other corners and arrived at a pub.
Neon lights above the door formed the words "The Octopus" and the light from inside illuminated a sign listing the various drinks and snaks available. Alba checked that her friends were still behind her and entered the café.
Sliding between wooden tables and customers, she made her way across the room to the bar. It was made of dark wood, worn over the years by thousands of hands, ashtrays and glasses being rubbed against it, and was carved into ornate desines, reminding Alba of the railings on a pirate's ship.
"Hi, Jammy!," she called out to the barman, "The usual please."
She still had no idea why the group of friends she had met while working part time as a waitress called him 'Jammy' and not by his real name which was Pete. She turned to Shadow and the others.
"What do you fancy?"

Shadow limped after Alba, half supported by Vrael to alleviate the wound on her leg from the battle. They pulled the hoods on their cloaks over their faces, hiding their unusual looks from the easily-paniked human population. Shadow asked for a vodka (lol), whereas Vrael went for a glass of red wine (...). The two demons chose to sit in a dark corner, Shadow glad to take the weight off her leg and to rest her heart for a while.

Alba smiled at Jammy as he handed her a glass of gin and tonic.
"Who're your friends?" he asked, eyeing the hoods suspitiously.
The black loop above his left eye twitched as he raised one eyebrow. Jammy was a punk, and wanted people to know it. His hair, naturally brown, stood up on ends and had been bleached blond and the tips coloured bright pink. His ears, bottom lip, eye brow and the skin between his thumb and index finger has brightly coloured studs sticking out of them at all angles. At first, Alba had found it rather scary, along with the countless tattoos of skulls and dragons which populated his body, but after a few days of working with him, you learned to see past the punk-o-rama and find the person within, and in Alba's opinion, Jammy was a genuinelly nice guy.
"People I met sorta all over the place," replied Alba, not wanting to go into detail about anything.
She flashed Jammy one of her wild grins and walked over to the table in the corner that Shadow and Vrael had sat down at and, pulling up one of the numerous chairs, seated herself beside them.
"Not exactly what you call suttle, I know, but I worked here for a while and like to come back to see friends. Ignore Jammy if her stares, he's harmless deep down, despite the mad appearance."
She smiled again and crossed her legs under the table, absent mindedly tapping her foot to the beat of the music.

The two demons nodded, expressions hidden by the shadows cast by their hoods. Shadow took a sip of her drink, seemingly deep in thought.

((You know, I don't even know if Bart's still there... lol))

"So are we still looking for this relic thing then?" asked Alba, taking a sip from her glass, "We havn't got many leads, have we?"

"We do." Shadow said quietly. She seemed to shake herself out of her thoughts. "I apologise for my behaviour. There are many things on my mind at the present moment."
Vrael seemed to be staring at Alba. He muttered something to Shadow in demonic, and she looked at Alba as well.

Alba noticed their gaze. It wade her feel uneasy and self contious.
"What?" asked the Manticore, "What is it? You're looking at me as if i've got two heads, or something!"
She lifted a hand to her shoulder, as if to make sure that she really did only have one head. (lol)

"Your eyes, they are a bright green..." Vrael murmured.
Shadow swore.

--Lawl, I'm here, I just didn't noticed that this continued... Silly me.--

Bart had followed the group, but as he entered the bar, quickly got out again. Christ, I almost forgot I was a Kraferr.
Bart muttered something to himself, keeping out of the bar, but keeping a close ear to the conversations taking place in the bar. As he did so, he prodded the bracelets. Silver, eh?
Bart looked up at the moon. The cloaked Kraferr wasn't there anymore.
But nor was the first figure.
Bart raised an eyebrow, as the new figure merged with the dim light the moon shone. He opened his two eyes as he recognized the figure. Wh-What?
Bart put his hand to his Kraferr heart. It pounded fast. He took a deep breath for air, as he looked back at the moon. Oh Christ, this is going to complicate my life...

Alba smiled, not quite understanding her friends' whim.
"Yes, i know. I'm a hypnotist. That's what happens, they get greener every time you use the power."
She raised her eye brows, as if waiting for an answer.
"So?"

"The girl of green eyes..." Shadow murmured. Vrael started hitting his head off the table.
"No, no, no, no, it must not be!" He repeated over and over again.

Bart's ear pricked, as he heard the beginning of an interesting cnversation. He took a last glance at the moon, closed his eyes, then put his ear near the door. What sort of thing will happen now? They are talking about the prophecy Shadow mentioned, right?

Vrael stood up suddenly, striding out of the door. He didn't notice Bart standing there as he hit out, smashing his fist into the brick wall. He was cursing himself in Demonic, trying to think of a way to spare Alba from the effects of the prophecy.
