Diaes shook his head as he rose up to stand again at his full height, and looked up. "But there's water in that puddle, water that has been tampered with. Why would someone..." his eyes narrowed to slits as he concentrated, "Vladimir, that puddle means that there is a leak, does it not? The tainted water smells reminiscent of a corrosive material I once saw created through the use of... some rather arcane magic, but that is beyond the point. We are currently below a container full of highly flammable substance that is leaking into the confined space in which we are, at this time, somewhat trapped." A frown coated his face. "Vladimir, you are well versed in explosive materials, what is your recommendation?" his voice was incredibly calm, almost chatty.

Shadow agreed with the statement about the petrol, and subsequently ignored the personified emotion known as 'Panic' within the pocket dimension in her head. She started to think of what to do, and only one option came to mind.
"Instead of just standing here, how about we get a move on?" She suggested lightly.

'Petrol explodes, yes, but only if we light something onto it,' Vladimir answered. He reached for his hip, and he put the security back onto his gun. He stood up, looked upwards, and felt the ceiling where the leak came from. Humid. It's close, and it was recent. Vladimir started continuing down the path.
If there is a petrol cave here, that means someone's exploiting it, if there is a hall just under it. I wonder why.

Diaes stared upward for a moment longer, only glancing away once when Vladimir had reached for his gun. A slight smile played across his lips before he turned to follow the others. His coat flared out around him as he moved quickly to catch the others. A small object glinted slightly in the darkness behind beside the pool, but nobody was there to see it reflecting light in the pitch black hall...

Vladimir turned his head, making sure that everyone was following. His supposition being agreed, he turned around once more, his feet scratching against the dirty floor, and continued to walk his path casually. The drips of petrol-mixed water were still heard long after Vladimir, Shadow and Diaes had walked away from it. Vladimir was indeed going to find out what was the meaning of all this.

"Vladimir, not to break in on your thoughts, Dear Boy, but Petroleum reservoirs are rather rare these days, if I am not mistaken," Diaes broke his silence again with almost happy chatter, "And there would, undoubtedly, be more than one human ready to fight for such an amount as most likely sits above us now. We just walked out of a previously well-armed arsenal. The question now is, of course, where are the people who most ingeniously built a stockpile of gunpowder under what I assume is a reasonable quantity of an extremely flammable liquid?" Diaes had been running his hand against the wall for some time, and when it suddenly gave way into nothingness he stopped. "There's another passage here," the words escaped his red lips in a tiny whisper. Without waiting for the others to reply, the pale thin form of the vampire slipped down the side avenue with his coat trailing behind.

Vladimir turned back to answer. "That's what we'll soon find out wh-"
Vladimir noticed that Diaes wasn't there. Vladimir looked around, still illuminated by few of the still working lamps. He then noticed a dark hole, and there was a glimpse of a cape fluttering just at that point. Vladimir sighed. Diaes, when you ask something, you wait for the answer. But I guess you just found something that might be of good use.
Vladimir stepped to the entrance, then followed Diaes inside, just next to the cape. Vladimir's trenchcoat fluttered away like Diaes', but with less width. Vladimir looked around as he followed. This tunnel turned lots of times. I wonder where it leads to...

Diaes halted suddenly, grasping Vladimir's arm with an iron grip. Pulling the man close Diaes leaned in towards the angelic man's neck, his lips rising slowly to the ear. "Listen to me and listen well, for what I am about to tell you is more important than you or I could fully know," the harsh whisper was barely escaping through heavily clenched incisors, "Find the Monkey. Tell him that even when all seems right, 'The sun begins to fall on the days of Shadow.' Tell him that he must, 'go forth to Seek a Mercy, for Mercy shall lead him to his heart's salvation.' Remember Vladimir." Diaes released the arm which he had been holding and continued down the tunnel quicker still than before.

Vladimir gaped at Diaes. Find the monkey? What monkey? Just any primate? No, he said THE monkey. 'The even when all seems right' sounds grammatically incorrect. The suns begin to fall on the days of Shadow? What?!? The monkey needs to go forth to seek a mercy, for mercy shall lead him to his heart's salvation? Who is this monkey? What is this? I don't understand anything!
"You what?" he said, finally.

bic// "Remember, and for the sake of all that is good in the world, don't tell Shadow," was all Diaes said before around another bend he turned to have light shine across his face and the faint echo of voices reach his ever so slightly pointed ears. "Bingo," a hideous smile crept across his lips, "Shall we go to meet the 'Light at the End of the Tunnel'?" The thin frame bent down, his dark attire flowing out around him. His pale hands worked at one of his boots and the next moment came back clutching a large knife, its single sharp edge gleaming with deadly purpose. The tip pointed at Vladimir's chest, "You remember. Know that all shall be made known, in the end. You have been made the bearer of one of history's most important messages. It's truth can only be seen when prophecy is seemingly averted. Remembering will become hard very soon, Vladimir, but even if you forget your own name, you must remember this message." With that the smile that could be confused easily for a snarl took over once again. "Now for the blood and glory," inhuman speed carried the vampire silently towards the voices.
