The Good Old Black Lake...8 years later

A greyish skinned hand shot out and grabbed Holly's wrist, and four red eyes glowed from beneath her hood.

Holly sighed inwardly, knowing this would had to have happened. She made no attempt to pull away, but insted stared into the red eyes, seeing nothing.

Shadow let go of Holly's wrist and got to her feet, looking around.

Surprised at this, Holly stood up to face Shadow.

Shadow turned her back on Holly and walked away.

Holly waited for a moment, sucking her teeth, debating.
Then she turned to Natalie for her view on the whole thing.

Natalie looked at Shadow.

"That's not our Shadow Hols..." said Natalie, "I know it's not..."

Shadow stopped and sniffed the air, her hood falling back. Her red eyes searched the darkness, and her canines seemed longer than ever.

"Holly...get down..." Natalie whispered, grabbing Holly's arm.

"She didnt hurt me...." Holly said, "She didnt hurt us though ... what does that mean? Shouldnt she be ... overtaken by rage or summat?"

"She doesn't recognise us...for all she knows...we're the ones she wants to kill...we aren't Holly and Natalie to her anymore...do you understand Holly...we are now target number 1 and target number 2...if we don't get down..." hissed Natalie, pulling Holly, "we'll go back to the school...and find a way to help her..."

Shadow sniffed the air, concentrating. She had picked up the scent of someone, and that someone was soon going to be extinct.

Natalie pulled Holly harder.

"Please Holly...come with me!" Natalie urged.

Holly looked at her, looked at 'Shadow' and then back at Nat.
"All this time ... all the days we spent trying to help her ... her trying to help us ... and now we're running away from her? She must still be Shadow underneath! She HAS to be!"

Shadow turned her head slowly to look back the way she came.

Holly stayed her ground, not really caring what became of her in this state.
She glanced at Natalie.

Natalie looked from Holly, to Shadow.

She decided to risk it.

She opened the mind connection.

Imprisonned in Shadow's mind, her human side sensed the connection.
Help me! She pleaded, but the demon broke the connection, advancing towards them.

Natalie frowned at the demon.

"I heard that," she whispered, "I'm going to free you Shadow...no matter what happens."

"I vote we force her to stay in her wolf form," Holly told Natalie, "Using silver or something ... and then make her think Human. Like a human and all ... then maybe she'll be back to Shadow.... yeah?"

Shadow stopped and sniffed the air again.

"Yes...I heard that works...and you are good with prejectiles....so you take this," Natalie pulled her silver ear-rings out, and gave one to Holly, and kept one herself, "you have one shot...and so do I...."

Holly paused, looking at Natalie. After a moment she said, "If you can get her into her wolf form ... Ill do everything else..."

"How about you do that...and I'll do everything else...I have a mind connection with her..." sighed Natalie, "you throw the silver..."

"My turn to be the boss," Holly said, "You get her into the wolf form, I do everything else. GO!"
