The Good Old Black Lake...8 years later

Holly was trying to convince herself of the same thing, but there didnt seem point in anything anymore.

"I...I tried to bring her back...I dunno if it's going to work...we are still waiting..." explained Natalie hopelessly.

"It wont work," Holly said to herself, "With my luck, my stupid, stupid luck ,it will not work."

Archangel squealed, pointing to Shadow. The demoness's hand had twitched.

"I...I saw it too...." gasped Natalie.

She squeezed Archangels hand slightly in hope.

Archangel clung onto Natalie's hand, staring at Shadow's hand. The heart monitor blipped once.

Holly's eyes twitched. Had she imagined that?

Natalie gasped again and looked at Shadow.

"Shadow...if you can here me...show me that you can..." said Natalie calmly.

The heart monitor blipped again, and managed to keep up a rythm, albeit very slow.

Holly wished with all of her mind that she had not just imagined that.
"What the ...." she whispered, sliding off her seat.

Natalie smiled slightly.

"See...took you it would work..." she whispered to Holly.

Shadow began to cough, some vile black liquid starting to clog her throat.

Natalie looked at Shadow.

She pointed her wand at Shadow.

"Anapnio..." she said.

Holly gasped inwardly and clutched the table for support.

Shadow started to breathe easily again, thanks to Natalie's spell.

Natalie smiled slightly at Holly.

Holly blinked several times, taking all of this in.

Shadow gasped as she opened her eyes, fear and panic gripping her as she fought against the still tied restraints. The heart monitor started to go haywire.

Natalie looked at Shadow.

"It's ok Shadow...you're safe now..." said Natalie soothingly.

Holly stepped backwards, away from the bed automatically.
"Nurse said she'd be like this ..." she muttered, and stepped forward, "Shad....it's me..."

"And me..." said Natalie, also stepping forward, "us...and your children..."

Archangel fumbled with the knots on the ropes, trying to untie them. Shadow didn't seem to hear her friends in her panic.

Holly hesitated, and then used her wand to untie the knots, not sure if this was the best descision.

Natalie stroked Shadow's long hair.

"Please...don't panic...it's us...you're alive..." Natalie stammered.

Shadow sprang off the bed, using one of the railings to flip onto the floor, but she wasn't strong enough and managed, somehow, to hit the wall. She fell to the floor again, dazed.
