What just happened? -Open-

Dominique closed her eyes and opened them again, noticing that they were present in the flat once again. She looked down at Bart before picking him up and glancing at Ilrune. "I'm going to put him on a bed where he'll be able to recover conveniently..." she murmured, before turning on her heels and stepping away, pushing the door open with her foot and stepping in. She delicately flattened Bart on the bed, feeling his forehead once more to check if everything was okay. Nothing dangerous. Dominique popped out of the room, closing it firmly behind her before lifting her eyes to Ilrune.

Ilrune was still standing in the same place, gazing at Shadow's face. He was a bit worried that she hadn't come round yet. She was in her human form, which amready had the part demon a little confused. He didn't fully understand humans, nor how they worked. In short, he was at a loss as to what to do.

Dominique approached Ilrune, tilting her head on her shoulder. "Shadow's in her human form, if I recall correctly," she murmured, "humans are not as resistant as demons are, Ilrune. It'll take time before she wakes up from the temporary loss of consciousness she's under right now. But there is no need to worry - my spells have not inflicted her permanent damage. As she wakes up, she may feel stinging, but not even half of what Bart's going to feel when he opens his eyes." She smiled weakly, trying to comfort the half-demon. "I have to thank you, Ilrune... For not having hurt him..."

Ilrune lay Shadow on the sofa, pulling off his cloak and laying it over her. He then stood up, facing Dominique. He thought carefully before speaking.
"I have never willingly shed the blood of another. It is the only rule of mine that translates into my demonic form. Had the fight continued, I would have been forced to harm him." He said quietly.

"But you didn't, and that's what counts," Dominique murmured to him, lifting her eyes as to stare into his, "despite the fact that he was the one attacking, you did not bend yourself to actually hurt him, and I thank you for that..." She lifted her head, raising one eyebrow before continuing, "but Bart never became like that without reason. What happened while you two were up there?"

Ilrune said nothing for a moment.
"Bart overreacted to something I said, that was all. Tensions arose, and it became demonic." He said, moving to sit next to Shadow, holding her hand.

"I know Bart", Dominique muttered below her breath, "he normally doesn't do that kind of stuff. He would get miffed, angered, or pissed at the most. It must've been something which struck him directly to the mind," Dominique replied calmly, "you must tell me what you said to him. Please tell me, if it concerns him."

Ilrune gazed at the kraferrin calmly. He didn't have any intentions of telling Dominique what had been said.
"There was nothing of importance in what was said between us. It was merely two part demons exchanging knowledge and advice." He replied smoothly. "I am not sure what it is that may have been said to trigger our demonic sides."

"Hm," Dominique mumbled to herself, "but... Bart doesn't just get angry like that... What could've happened?" Dominique repeated the words to herself, as she walked in circles and scratched the back of her head. A concerned frown was pulled on her face as she stared at the ground, trying to find the answer on the floor.

Ilrune turned his gaze back to Shadow, watching her for any signs of waking up. He played gently with her hair, thinking about their upcoming wedding. His eyes flickered to the ring on her finger, allowing himself to smile a little. He lightly ran a finger over one closed eyelid, hoping for her to come round soon.

Dominique continued to pace frantically in circles, according Ilrune and Shadow a glance every now and then. She worried about Bart, for she didn't know the reason why the demon would manifest itself without any condition at all. It wasn't like him, nor was it normal. It had either be Ilrune hiding something, or the demon is only progressing in Bart's mind. Secretly, Dominique preferred the first option than the other, even if it doubted the trust she had accorded him beforehand.

Ilrune continued to watch the demoness until her hand twitched. He murmured softly to her in another language, coaxing her to wake up. He brushed a few locks of hair from her face as her eyes opened, looking up at Ilrune. The crystal demon looked as if a weight had been lifted from his shoulders as he enveloped the demoness in a hug.

Dominique glanced at Ilrune and Shadow, who just woke up, then turned away and lifted a hand to her mouth. She was anxious about Bart, and she marched to the room where she had left him. Opening the door slowly, she peered past, hoping that he would be sitting upright. But he hadn't moved a centimeter since the last time she saw him. She pulled a chair from under the desk, closing the door, and she put it next to the bed, gazing at him, hoping he would wake up.

Ilrune held Shadow gently as she started to cry. He rocked her gently, like a mother would a child, murmuring to her softly. He closed his eyes, trying to sooth her as she buried her face against his chest. He sang softly to her, one hand stroking her hair.

Dominique put her hands up to her head and closed her eyes, murmuring low kraferric words under her breath. She was calling out to the forces, hoping they would heed her and help. She rocked herself gently back and forth on the chair, repeating the same words over and over again in the kraferric language. Dominique opened her eyes to look at Bart, who still hadn't woken up yet.

Shadow took a deep breath, drying her eyes on her sleeves. She slowly got to her feet, half supported by Ilrune. She asked him something quietly. Ilrune scowled a little, but stood up, helping her over to Bart's room. Shadow knocked softly.

Dominique interrupted herself in the middle of the prayer. Surprised, she lifted her head and turned to the door. She swallowed, and stood up, walking over to it and opening it slowly. She pushed the door wide, before lifting one hand to her lips, lowering her eyes. "He's... He's not awake yet.." She lifted both her hands to her face, breathing in deeply. "He'll wake, won't he?..."

Ilrune supported Shadow as she gazed at Bart, trying to think of anything she could do.
"In my experiance, he should wake within an hour. The potion Ilrune used takes out all emotion from the system." She said slowly. Ilrune nodded, looking fairly grim.

Dominique murmured something under her breath, closing her eyes tightly. She couldn't ask Ilrune now if he had said the truth or not. She knew something was wrong. Bart couldn't stay asleep for more than an hour, or something must have done important damage to him. Dominique didn't know how to heal those kinds of wounds - she didn't have demonic blood. She had already asked Bart to give her the blood, although he categorically refused, under statement that it 's not something everyone has to bear to understand the full length of the harm it can cause.

Shadow closed her eyes, hoping. She couldn't turn again. She wouldn't be able to help him. A cold chuckle echoed from a corner. Gold eyes glinted from that corner. Shadow slowly stood up, reaching under her sleeve to grab the hilt of her knife. Her face screwed up in pain and she dropped the knife. Her left arm had been rebroken, making it impossible for her to hold the knife without pain.

Dominique heard the clanking of the knife, and her eyes widened. She glanced in the direction of the noise, before quickly stepping out of Bart's room, closing the door behind her. She stepped out into the living room, before taking a quick look around.

Teran stepped out of the shadows of Bart's room, looking at Shadow. She was holding her arm close to herself, watching him with her ice blue eyes. Ilrune stood behind her. He cursed as he remembered his dropped sword on the roof of the building. Teran chuckled to himself again.

Dominique quickly fetched a kitchen knife inside the flat, before sprinting back to the room, smashing the door open with one violent kick. She held out the weapon, one hand flattened on her arm. She panted, frowning back at the man. He must be the Teran they were talking about. She took one determined step closer, scowling at him. "You!" she growled, "Get out of here! Don't even dare approach!"

Teran raised an eyebrow at Dominique.
"How... cute... The Kraferrin standing up for her friends. The Kraferr, the great protector, unconscious. The Princess, human and weak. And the crystal demon, powerless against me. I must admit, the only two people who could have stopped me seem to be unable to fight..." He said in a mocking voice, another cold chuckle coming from his throat.

Dominique's eyes flashed to a red color, before her hair fell, colored black, over her shoulders. Fangs grew at the place of her canines, and short brown fur, spotted black at hands, covered the kraferrin's skin. A tail swiftly unleashed itself, whipping the air. Dominique held onto the knife tightly as her claws grew. "I'm not letting you approach them, Teran," she hissed, warning the half-demon, "you aren't going to move anywhere." Dominique stepped in front of Shadow, still pointing the knife at Teran.
