Shadow's eyes narrowed as he slapped her, but she made no move to retaliate.

"Wow...that did not work as I'd planned," said the man...before he began to run away down the mountain.

Shadow teleported and punched him in the nose.
"Have you ever thought that a wolf gives chase?" She said with a smirk.

He slapped Shadow hard in the face again.

Shadow's head whipped round with the force of the impact, and the side of her face turned red. As she turned back to look at him, her eyes were also red...

"HOLY CRAP! WHAT HAPPENED?!" the man shrieked, hands in the air.

He tried to run again.

"You hit like a girl." She said in a low, growling voice.

Natalie felt her braclet heating up.

She knew what was happening.

The man smirked.
"Life isn't fair...is it?" he hissed.

Shadow screamed out and fell to her knees, holding her head in her hands as her human side fought for control.

I'm trying! Shadow shouted back before closing the connection. Her vision alternated between normal and red tinted as her eyes flickered between demonic and human. She forgot all about the man in the battle to regain control.

Shadow hit the ground with her fist, but managed to bring herself back under control, leaving her breathing heavily on the ground.
