The Hostage

"I am Kerk Lumring...Chief Wizard kidnapped and Pedo...." grinned the man.

Natalie, meanwhile, looked at Holly.

"Of course not...I was saving myself...and now that's gone to hell...so it probably won't be as special anymore..." Natalie sobbed.

Shadow recoiled slightly in disgust. She sighed.
"You could have found yourself a better profession."

"Jezus lady...at least I know what I do...what the hell do you do?" the man spat, "so don't judge me!"

Natalie, meanwhile, hid her head in her hands.

"I rule the darkness and I was a healer. At least I wasn't an evil, pus sucking leech on the face of this earth." Shadow pointed out calmly.

"It still will be..." Holly muttered awkwardly, "Im sure..."

"No it won't....what if I hate it...what if I see him....and think of the last time..." Natalie sobbed.

"True..." the man said, shrugging, "hey...we all gotta have a hobby...."

"Thats a mental battle you're gonna have to overcome yourself," Holly said, "And how old are you again?"

Shadow's anger boiled again as she strode over to the man and punched him as hard as she could in the nose.

"Twenty five..." sighed Natalie, frowning, "why would that make a difference?"

The man staggered, but didn't fall...

"Not bad...for a girl..." he grinned, blood dripping from his nose and mouth.

Shadow raised an eyebrow.
"And? Not all girls are weak, and you can't force any girl to do what you wat."

"Try me..." hissed the man.

"In what way 'try you'?" Shadow said, slightly confused.

"It wouldnt," Holly muttered quickly, trying to imagine what Natalie's life must be like.

"I dunno...I have confused myself..." said the man, shaking his head.

Natalie frowned at Holly.
"Life isn't all about...that you know..." she said.

"Has to happen to every dufus once in a day." Shadow muttered under her breath.

"I know!" Holly said, "I know...."

"True....HEY!" said the man, "that is such a trick!"

"I wondered when you'd catch on. A bit on the slow side, aren't you. A bit smarter and you might just be able to rival a guinea pig." Shadow said.

The man tutted.
"At least I'm not you..." he snarled.

I have enough knowledge to rival Dumbledore." Shadow informed him.

Natalie used all her strength to break into Shadow's mind.

Please don't prevoke him... She thought

"Whats happening?" Holly asked Natalie, keen to know the goings on.

"They're talking..." said Natalie quietly.

Shadow sensed Natalie in her mind and quickly shut the connection, denying her access to her mind.

Natalie's confidence wilted slightly more...she thought she herself had failed to connect.
