The Good Old Black Lake...8 years later

Holly looked at Natalie, and sat on the sofa, summoning Gareth to get her slushies.

Natalie took out her wand.

"Ok...to show you it's ok...I can let you hold my wand..." said Natalie, holding it out for Shadow to take.

((Does not sound right at all....but anyway...DON'T LAUGH HANNAH YOU DIRTY GIRL!))

Shadow shook her head, backing away from it.

Holly watched without smiling. It was an attempt.

"Ok then...take my hand..." said Natalie, holding out her hand.

Shadow gingerly took Natalie's hand, looking as if she would rather not go through this.

Natalie frowned.

"If your not ready...just tell me..." she said kindly.

"Or you could take my hand. I get on better with kids." Holly remarked.

Shadow took a deep breath and signed quickly for Natalie to go ahead.

Natalie shot a look at Holly.

"Ok then..." she took Shadow by both hands, "this child has proclaimed she is ready for her voice to be restored...when she gets her voice back may the damner of her (Meran) be banished to eternal suffering..." said Natalie is a loud voice.

She lifted her wand and made circular motions above Shadows head and muttered the incantation to put her to sleep.

Holly stared.
"Uhhhm....did it work?"

Shadow watched Natalie, and fought the charm, but she fell asleep quickly.

Natalie ignored the question, keeping her eyes on Shadow.

"Well?" Holly demanded, like a child herself.

"She's asleep...ok Holly...I need you and Gary out of here a second..." said Natalie quietly.

"You never know what me and Gary might get up to alone," Holly said innocently, "Sure you wanna make me go?"

"Yes..." said Natalie, "please...don't argue Holly...I don't have much time..."

Holly shrugged and grabbed Gareth, taking him out with her.

Natalie sighed.

She raised her wand above the now lying, sleeping Shadow.

She muttered an ancient incantation....some of the words she even didn't know what they meant. It required great concentration. There was alot of flashes of powerful light as the spell began taking effect.

((Jeez, takes you long enough ))

Holly and Gareth stood in the hallway.
"Ever cheated on my girl?" Holly asked.

Natalie continued with the spell...concentration hard....

The spell contimued to work on Shadow...lights flashed brightly.

Shadow started to twitch.

((Hannah, I warned you...))

Natalie continued until the spell was complete.

She put her wand down and shook her wand arm.

She looked at Shadow.

"Shadow of Synairn...I say to you...awake my child..." said Natalie loudly.

Shadow's eyes opened, and she blinked a few times.
