"I long for home..."

Posydon fell silent. So the legend was true; she was the daughter of the Demon... interesting.

Shadow noted the silence.
"Er... yeah, we don't get on very well with the Syari, so we'd be glad to help you."

Posydon thought for a moment, then held out his hand.
"Accepted."

Shadow nodded, shaking his hand.
"Ok, Vrael, you're coming with me. Posydon, Got any directions, or anyhting I need to know before blundering in there?"

"I will guide you," he said, stepping through the waves, then stoped and turned back, "Can you breath under water? What is the plan?"

"We're going to go in and request a diplomatic audience." Shadow said, casting a spell over herself and Vrael before stepping after Posydon. "Wait, are there any touchy subjects to keep away from?"

"I do not think it would be safe to mention the Synari unless we are talking about their destruction," said Posydon, "My people do not like to think of the war. As it happened only a fiew centuries ago, it is still quite fresh in people's minds. Appart from that, you do realise that my uncle will try to kill me."

"That's another reason for Vrael coming. He may look pretty harmless, but he's not..." Shadow said with a smile before diving into the ocean.

Posydon followed the girl with violet eyes under the waves. He breathed in, feeling the salt water wash through his gils. He smiled and opened his eyes, seeing the setting he missed so much. He spread his fingers and felt the liquid carress his tattoed skin. Bliss, he thought, before swimming off into the deapths of the sea.

Shadow followed him easily, Vrael not far behind.

((*sighs* ok))

Posydon pulled down the barrier around his mind and contacted Shadow.
We will be there in a couple of hours if we do not stop. Is that satisfactory?

Fine by us. Shadow replied, nodding curtly at him.

Posydon marveled at the scenery around him. He glanced up to see the sun, deformed by the waved above, but beautiful as ever. The rays pearced the water's surface and carressed his tattoed skin. He avertad his eyes to look for the rout to take. he turned left at a rock covered in sea weed and swam away towards the open ocean.

Shadow and Vrael followed him, carefully looking around to spot any attack.

After an few hours of marvelling at the seascape around him, Posydon finally spotted the city of Aquaria infront of them. He stared as he remembered the tall towers and ornate carvings that covered the city's walls from top to base like it's inhabitants.
Unfortunatelly for the trio, the gards spotted their arival and swam out to meet them. They too wore nothing from the waist up, apart from the fiew females among them who wore ragged skirst and wide strips of cloth around their waists.
When they recognised Posydon, they raised their weapons, warning the newcommers to keep their distance.

Vrael took up a position close to Posydon, making it clear from his body language that they weren't to harm him. Shadow looked at the guards, hands on view so that they could see she had no weapons.
"I am Shadow Roth, here to seek a diplomatic audience with your ruler!"

"You know who I am," said Posydon camly, then he looked at one of the guards in particular and said, "We grew up together. All of us. We are friends. Let me pass and I will gave you your freedom from my uncle's cruel ways."
The guards looked at each other, the grip on their swords and lances faultering stighly. They knew he was right. But they also knew that if they disobayed the king, the sea could be tinted black with the blood from their veins.

Shadow, sensing their thoughts, spoke again.
"I am Shadow Roth, princess of Darkness. We are here on diplomatic terms."

"Please, My friends, let me through."
Posydon's calm and melodic voice seemed to have worked its effect on the guards, for one of the females stepped forwards and spoke in Atlantian to Posydon.
Their language was filled with 's's and 'v's which made the words sound like waves washing up onto the sand of a beach. After a few sentences were exchanged, Posydon turned to Shadow and Vrael and said:
"She says they will escort us to my uncle. They recognise the fact that I have never harmed them in any way and that if i can stop my uncle, they will be on my side. We must unfortunately hand over any weapons we have. Do not try to keep any, Atlantians are telepathik and will know if you are hiding anything from them."

Shadow nodded and took a small dagger off her belt, handing it to the guard, Vrael doing the same. Shadow also, very regretably, handed over her collection of antidotes and painkillers.
"Those are the weapons that we have the power to remove." Vrael said.

Posydon nodded, reluctantly removing the scimitar from his belt and handing it to the waiting guard.

Shadow took a circlet of black metal from a pocket and put it around her head. It had a single onyx embedded in it, on the part that points down between her eyes. It was the crown of her title.

The female guard said a few words in Aquarian to osydon who signal to the others to follow him. Two guards placed themselves behind the trio as the lead female lightly jumped up and started to swim away.

Shadow followed the female, trying to look like a ruler.

Posydon was confident. He knew that he would once more be in his city and that he would see the people he had grown up with. His heart lept at the thought of it all.
