Hogwarts: Next Generation

"This is gryffindor you twit." Twilight said.

"Exactly ... and I know people in Gryffindor .... Jeez mum said you're mum and her sister was smartical like ..." Ashton said, rolling his eyes.

Twilight scowled, and strode up to her dorm, starting to unpack.

"Yeah, she wants me...." Ashton muttered after her, "Pretty too....."

Tomorrow followed.
She began to unpack her trunk, which she was amazed was already in her dorm.

Twilight sat down on her bed, looking at a picture of a family reunion. Shadow was messing up Raven's hair, Shaeman had managed to get himself 'tipsy', and had given Merlas a bottle of beer which she was throwing away, someone had given Archangel and Onyx a pair of BB guns, and they looked like the men in black. Eclipse was sitting on a bowing Midnight Star's back, and then where was twilight, quiet, one hand on Star's shoulder.

Tomorrow looked over Twilights shoulder.
"There's the Roths," she grinned.

"Yes. Mother, Aunt Shadow, Uncle Vrael, Uncle Shaeman, Merlas, Midnight Star, Archangel and Onyx." Twilight said quietly, pointing them out.

"Nice." Ashton commented.
Yes. He was in the Gryffindor Girls' dorm.

Twilight squeaked, and shot a silvery bolt of magic at Ashton.

Tomorrow took Ashton to one side.
"Ash...do not do anything that may frighten her...she is on the edge of herself as it is..."

Twilight pushed the picture out of sight.

Ashton ducked, and reappeared a moment later, pale face looking scared.
"Don't panic...." he said quietly.

"Leave me alone please." Twilight said, sitting on the ledge in front of the window.

Ashton's eyebrows knotted together, but he obediently stepped backwards towards the door.
"I'll talk to you later Tom...." he said to Tomorrow, and left.

Tomorrow was waved to Ashton, then sat quietly on her bed, reading. She knew Twilight wanted to be left alone, so she was doing so.

"What... what do you know about my mother?" Twilight asked quietly, playing with a strand of her violet hair.

"Raven...well...I know she's a twin of Shadow's....and I know she's part demon..." said Tomorrow vaguely, "I dunno much else."

Twilight nodded slightly.

"Can I ask why you wanna know all this?" Tomorrow asked.

"It's best if I didn't answer that question." Twilight replied.

Tomorrow let the matter slide...for now.

Twilight sensed Tomorrow's thoughts.
"I've never told anyone..."

"You don't have to if you don't want to...really," said Tomorrow quietly.

Twilight shrugged, turning her head back to the window.
