The Secret

"I do now." Shadow said, trying to summon the strength to pull the trigger.

"I didn't want to die like this." Holly said simply, "But go ahead. Don't think about the past ... all the friendship and that... all the good times. All the times you've SAVED my life .. just pull the trigger. A few seconds and I'm gone."
She waited, still shaking.

Shadow gritted her teeth, and narrowed her eyes. After a few milliseconds, she threw the gun down.
"Arias curse you. I'll get punished for this." She hissed before vanishing.

Natalie walked in, holding a note.
"What the hell is this?" she asked Holly, "you wrote me a suicide note...and would you look at that, your not dead...and there's Shadow hold a gun to your head...lovely...I guess I should save you now," said Natalie stepping matter-of-factly in front of Holly.

Holly swore again and slid down the wall, still shaking.
"I thought she was gonna do it." she told Natalie weakly.

"I know you did..." said Natalie, staring at Holly's face quietly.

Shadow was crouched on the rooftop of the appartements, trying to clear her head to think.

Natalie sighed in relief.
"I thought you were gonna kill yourself," she confessed.

"Why did you think that?" Holly asked, still trying to accept what had just .. nearly .. happened.

With a small pop, Hayley landed beside Holly and Natalie. "Uh-oh," she said, shaking her head. "Sorry guys, I did not mean to do that..." she looked around her. "Where are we?"

"Because I found a suicide note..." said Natalie.

"Oh .. i dunno." Holly said, "Wasnt thinkin straight .. im ok though .. Where'd Roth go?"

Shadow thought, and teleported down again.
"I need my gun back." She said emotionlessly.

Natalie sighed.
"No...I think not..." she said, equally as emotionlessly.

Shadow gritted her teeth.
"I need the gun back."

"Grow UP Roth." Holly said, snatching the gun and putting it behind her back.

"Grow up? I won't 'grow up' anymore if you don't give me that back." Shadow snarled. She held up her forearms, where two metal bracelets stretched from just below her wrist to half way down her forearm.

"Well you are NOT killing anyone anymore." Holly said sternly, and she stood up shakily, "Now ... if you're quite done tormenting me .... y'know ... go."

Shadow held out her hand.
"The gun."

Holly sighed and in a moment had taken the bullets out, and placed them in her pocket. She handed the gun back to Shadow.
"Get out." she said quietly.

Shadow pulled another clip of ammunotion out of her pocket and loaded the gun before turning tail.
"Goodbye." She said quietly.

"Holly." Holly said slowly, "You are possibly the stupidest person to ever walk the face of the earth."
She looked around.
"She'll be back."
Indeed, as Holly had taken her .. Big Book Of People To Kill... Im sure ...

Shadow was walking along the corridor, towards the exit, when a man stepped out of the shadows. The demoness didn't react. It was the same man who had given her the mission that had turned Holly and Natalie against her. He looked at her for a few moments, before striking. Shadow fell back into the wall, one hand flying to her head.

"Think she'll get in trouble for not killin me?" Holly asked Natalie.
Without waiting for an answer she began to pace.
"I think we should go after her .. actually .. help get her out of the situation she's in .. cause .. as much as shes annoying me, and wants to kill me, I dont want her to die. Yeno?"

Shadow's eyes widened as she saw the man take a small black box out of his pocket. He flipped a switch, and it sent an electric current surging through the metal bracelets Shadow was wearing. She gasped, trying not to make too much noise.
