Coping. (Post Prophecy)

Dominique also stayed, her hands behind her back, looking at the ground, her long hair falling over her face.

Bart was seen, leaning on the table. His two arms were outstretched on the table, supporting his weight. His kraferric tail whipped at the air. His claws dug slightly into the table, and his red eyes glistened under the darkness made by his hair.

Arella approached Bart, her foootsteps making no sound on the wooden floor, but her robes swished quietly as she moved.
"Is there perhaps something you wish to discuss?" The dead Senator asked.

Bart's hand tensed as Arella spoke to him, and he quickly slapped his other hand on his tensed hand. A low growl came out from his chest, and he slowly looked up at Arella.
"I'm sorry," he uttered, "I need time to think. Like, right now, at this moment." Bart sighed.
"Look," he began, "It's all mixed up in my head. I know that Dominique loves me. That's for sure. She even proved it in many ways. Then, I kinda got dragged as her husband. And after, this man named Diaes comes up, and says I'm the 'True lover of her heart', and then this. It's kinda mixed up. I'm not used to this kinda thing..."

Arella smiled sympathetically.
"You have a choice, and it is not an simple one. A life as one of the last two of your kind is not an easy life." She said quietly, "Every thought takes time..."

"So I've noticed," Bart answered. After he did, he saw that his voice was harsh and aggressive. He put his hand off his other hand, and pushed off the table. His other hand had claw marks carved deep into his flesh, and blood was dripping on his hands. He hid his hand behind his back. "I still need to understand what I need."

Arella sighed, moving forwards to take Bart's wounded hand. She laid her own over the wound, healing it before moving back again.
"It is your choice," She said, "I cannot and will not interfere. Now I believe that both the girl are worried about you."

"Thanks," Bart muttered as he saw that the wound had faded, and he looked at the ground. He looked at Arella, and he sighed. "I probably need to explain myself..." Bart continued, "But I don't know how. I'm just confused..." Bart breathed deeply once, and closed his eyes. "Okay, I'll get in that room again."
Bart headed for the room again, his face darkened. His brown hair swayed with each of his movements.

Arella silently followed the Kraferr, one hand pushing her black hair behind one ear as she walked back into the room. Shadow stood up again, but didn't look at Bart. Her hair was also pushed behind her ears, showing their pointed tips. Her angled eyes were gazing sadly in the opposite direction at the floor.

Bart enetered the room, brushing his hair out of his view. Dominique looked at Bart, but stood silent. Bart stood next to Dominique, who seemed slightly uneasy next to him, but stood next to him anyways. She looked at Bart with a worried look.
"So..." She began, "What happened?"
"Nothing," Bart answered, not looking at Dominique, "I'm just confused."

Shadow didn't look up at Bart, and Arella stood in the doorway, watching them.

Both of the kraferrs stood silent, looking both at the ground, arms crossed. Bart sighed, and put his palm up to his head. His tail slashed violently at the wind once, and then it just flicked.

Arella murmured something to Shadow in Synari again, but the demoness replied in the same language, her tone quiet but desperate. Arella walked over to her daughter, stopping just outside the circle.

Bart didn't pay attention to the discussion of the two demons. He stood silently, his head buried in his palm, caressing his forehead gently. Dominique stood silent, as Bart's tail flicked at the wind very gently.

Arella looked stern for a moment, reaching into the circle and grabbing Shadow's arm, pulling the demoness out of the circle. Shadow watched in horror as the magical apparition of her mother faded into pure magic and dissapated.

Bart watched carefully as the woman pulled Shadow out of the circle. He tilted his head, as the woman disappeared in magic. He sighed, and slid his hand to the side of his head. Dominique looked at Shadow again. Bart's red eyes glistened under the darkness of his hair, as he tilted his head.

Shadow had an arm outstretched towards where Arella had disappeared, but she dropped it quickly, seemingly desperately trying not to cry. Magic started to snake out around her and the demoness grabbed two silver vambraces, strapping them quickly over her forearms, stopping the flow of magic.

Bart took one step forward to try and stop Shadow from going out of control, and he quickly grabbed her forearm tightly, with his left hand. His silver bracelet glinted as he did so, and his red eyes glistened. He looked up at Shadow.
"Don't lose yourself, Shadow," Bart said, quietly, "It's okay."

Shadow's violet eyes were wide, staring, as she breathed heavily, but she brought herself under control, calming herself and pulling her arm out of Bart's grip. She bowed her head, closing her eyes.
"It's not ok, and it never will be."

Bart didn't insist, and let her arm go calmly, his red eyes glittering in the darkness, looking at Shadow. Dominique just stood in the shadows, looking. Bart's tail flicked at the air gently, and his hands tensed.
"Maybe it is so," Bart answered, "But you need to calm down. Before one of us just goes freaking out, and kills everyone in this bloody room!"

Shadow took a deep breath and let it out, her arms stretched downwards and moving in a motion as if she was smoothing a sheet on a bed.
"You're right, I need to calm down. I can't go demonic, not now." She said the last part more to herself than to Bart.

Bart stood silent, and breathed in deeply also. He stood up straight, and his tail started to slide on the invisible sheet that Shadow was laying on an immaterial support. As he breathed more, it was as silent as the gentle rolling of trickles of water down a cold stone. He eased his hands, and looked at the ground.

Shadow took a deep breath, walking out into the living room. She stood in front of the window, gazing outside. Her eyes were searching the darkness, looking for something.

Bart didn't follow Shadow, and sat on the bed of Shadow's room. He put his face in his hands. Dominique sat near him, and put one arm around his body, and nestled her head on her shoulder, as she coiled her second arm around her body to hug him. She tightened her hug, and Bart's face darkened. He pushed her away gently.
"I'm... I'm sorry, I need to be alone for a while," Bart said, coldly. He stood up, and went into the twins' room.

Shadow leant her head against the glass for a moment before sitting on the wooden floors, gazing out of the floor-to-ceiling windows, her legs crossed in a lotus position. Her violet eyes were worried, but the silver vambraces glinted on her forearms, keeping her magic under control.

Dominique left Shadow's room, and left Bart alone, as he wanted. She went to Shadow, and looked worried also, and looked at the ground near Shadow. She put her leg behind her, turning the point of her foot on the floor. She looked up at Shadow.
"I'm worried about Bart," she said quietly.
