The Good Old Black Lake...8 years later

Shadow's eyes flew open as the needle slid into her neck and she coughed, the serum taking immediate effect.

Holly opened her eyes and glanced around.
"Eurgh...you're still here?" she muttered to Meran.

Meran nodded and handed Holly the antidote.

Natalie looked at Shadow and screamed.

"DID YOU TRICK ME TOO?!" She screamed at her.

The heart monitor the nurse had installed after the panic suddenly went silent.

Holly took the antidote, and apparated herself back into the ward, taking the antidote as she went.

Natalie looked at Shadow and screamed.

She turned to Meran.

"SHE WAS MY BEST FRIEND...AND YOU MADE ME KILL HER!" she screamed.

Meran shrugged, threw Natalie's wand down and disappeared.

"What?" Holly repeated, "WHAT? NO! SHES NOT!"

The heart monitor showed only a straight line.

Holly stared at the monitor.
"Is that part of the plan?" she asked, eyes wide.

A nurse bustled in again, looked at the monitor and sighed, putting a sheet over the demoness.

Holly attempted to contemplate what was happening. She couldnt see, she couldnt hear. And she fell onto the floor of the ward.

((That happened to me once. Worst feeling ever))

Natalie looked at the nurse, screamed, and took the sheet off Shadow.

"SHE IS NOT DEAD!" Natalie yelled

The nurse looked at Natalie in sympathy.
"No use denying it, she's not breathing and her heart isn't beating."

Holly blinked several times.
"I was so careful...." she whispered, "I didnt. I couldnt have done that. I swore Id let him kill me before I....."

She turned to look at Natalie.
"You."

"DON'T LOOK AT ME LIKE THAT HOLLY! SHE TOLD ME TO DO IT HERSELF! SHE LIED TO ME! TOLD ME SHE'D BE FINE! SHE TOLD ME TO DO IT! SHADOW DID! SHE DID! SHE DID! SHE DID!" Natalie screamed

Holly stared at her in disbelief.
"Why did you believe that...?" she asked her, "Obviously she would want to protect us! Urgh, you eejit!"

"SHE PROMISED ME!" Natalie screamed back. She looked a mess. She was in hysterics...

Holly looked a mess too. Worse actually. All bruised and what not.
She clenched her fist, and sat down, shaking.

"SHE'S NOT DEAD!" yelled Natalie again.

She snatched her wand up and pointed it at Shadow.

"ENERVATE!" she screamed.

"Good luck," Holly said bitterly.

"OH LIKE THIS IS MY FAULT!" Natalie screamed.

She turned to Meran.

"I HOPE YOU DIE YOU SICK SON OF A *?&$! AND I HOPE YOU ROT IS HELL! ACTUALLY I DON'T GIVE A *&#? WHAT YOU DO JUST STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM ME! YOU MADE ME KILL HER" she screamed.

She turned to Holly.

"WHY BLAME ME! WHAT WAS A SUPPOSED TO DO! SHE PROMISED ME SHE WOULDN'T DIE! SHADOW DOESN'T DIE!"

She turned to Shadow's body.

"WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT! WHY WOULD YOU LIE TO MAKE ME KILL YOU! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! YOU AREN'T DEAD! YOU CAN'T BE! YOU TOLD ME EVERYTHING WOULD BE ALRIGHT AND THAT YOU WOULD DIE!"

Natalie sunk to her knees on the floor, crying loudly.

"JUST KILL ME! I DON'T DESERVE TO LIVE!" she screamed.

(I feel like this sometimes...)

Holly heard the words, but ignored them. She too felt a little like this. She was much better at hiding it than Natalie.

Natalie looked at the nurse again.

"Isn't...t-there....anything you can do...anything at all...to bring her back..." Natalie pleaded.
