The Good Old Black Lake...8 years later

"When you're dead, you're dead." Holly spat angrilly, putting her head in her hands.

"THAT'S NOT TRUE! I AM LIVING DEAD PROOF OF THAT!" Natalie screamed.

Holly muttered something and tried to block Natalie out of her mind.

Natalie gave Holly a shoved.

"DON'T YOU DARE IGNORE ME! THIS IS NOT MY FAULT!" Natalie yelled.

Holly stood up sharply, looked at Natalie, and moved to sit at the end of Shadow's bed.

Natalie moved to the other side.

"LISTEN TO ME HOLLY! ALL BROKEN THINGS...AND PEOPLE....CAN BE FIXED...I LEARNT THAT IN HEALER SCHOOL!" yelled Natalie.

Holly clamped her hands over her ears.
"Dont even try to get my hopes up." she said quietly.

"Well...I am hoping to have Shadow back by the end of the hour...." said Natalie quietly.

Holly just looked at her.
"Try."

"I will..." said Natalie quietly, "and I am sorry Holly..."

She turned her attention to Shadow.

She lifted the sheet off her head and felt her forehead.

"She's not that cold..." said Natalie.

She took out of her robes as small flask.

She took the cork out of the vial and emptied it over where Shadow's heart would be. It sunk through her robe and, Natalie hoped, her skin too.

"That better not kill her," Holly muttered, staring at Shadow.

Natalie gave Holly a look.

"Ok...um...this next bit...is going to be...really tricky...I want you to...take my hand...and I'll tell you why when you've done it..." Natalie instructed.

"Wha...." Holly said, but obediently gripped Natalie's hand.

"Now...take out your wand with your other hand...and keep it out...I am now going to attempt to...um...suck the poison out...which could be tricky...being a vampire...so if it looks like I am going over-board...try and pull me away...and if I won't come away...use your wand to kill me by setting me on fire, but only if you cannot get me away...understand?" Natalie rambled.

"Yeah," Holly lied, "Go ahead..."
She bit her lip, worriedly.

Natalie squeezed Holly's hand tight as she bent down.
She smelled blood...and it was good....but no...she would do this...for Shadow...for Holly...for herself....

Natalie put her mouth to the opening in Shadow's neck and winced as poison filled her mouth.

She sucked and sucked until she tasted blood....and then she stopped, and pulled away.

"I did it...now we wait...for what could be five minutes...could be an hour...sould be three...or it could never happen...but we shall wait..." said Natalie to Holly stiffly.

She sat down beside Holly.

((Haha look what we've been doing to you while you've been gone Jenni :D:D:D, hahahahahahahhaa *has laughing fit*))

Holly nodded, but did not trust herself to speak.

((Lol Jenn...it's kinda like that time Violet tried to kill Holly when Hannah wasn't even online...lol...remember Hannah...on HE?))

Natalie was silent too, watching Shadow's heart monitor.

((Um.....yes?))

Holly sighed lightly, feeling hopeless, helpless, and another word beginning with H. Hungry. Yes. That will do.

Natalie felt Shadow's pulse....

Nothing yet...

Not yet...

Holly's stomach was 'all of a jutters'.

"Sorry," she muttered quietly, "For that."

"Tis ok...I know how it is..." sighed Natalie.

((Yes...it is...Jenn...it'll be easy to catch up...all you need to do is either lie there...or get up...lol))

"Yeah..." Holly agreed absently, "Remember that time we were in that mountain and Shad said we would die if we ate your food....?"

"I think so...was that the time that dude had me hostage?" Natalie asked.

"Aye...or that time her and Jamie.....Holly shut up." Holly said.
