The Good Old Black Lake...8 years later

"Oooh...tell me what happened?!" urged Natalie.

"Pervert," Holly muttered, but launched into the story anyway.

"Fun..." she sighed, not listening anymore.

Holly sighed lightly, looking at Shadow.
"Why does she have to be so damn good-natured?"

"I don't know..." sighed Natalie, "I can't believe I fell for it..."

Raven suddenly appeared, bloodstains on her cloak and fire in her eyes.
"Ok. What in the name of Arias has been going on?!"

Holly nodded at Natalie to explain, not looking Raven in the firey eyes.

Raven folded her arms and tapped her foot, waiting for an answer.

"Uh ... Shad's dead," Holly said quietly.

"I am attempting to revive her..." sighed Natalie.

((Ha, bit late))

"It isnt working...." Holly mumbled, looking again at the evidently dead Shadow, "Nat killed her."

"SHADOW TOLD ME THAT IT WOULDN'T WORK! WHY ACCUSE ME WHEN IT ISN'T MY FAULT! SHE TRICKED ME!" yelled Natalie, tears streaming from her eyes again, "and besides...IT WILL WORK! SO BLOODY WELL HAVE FAITH OR I WILL HURT YOU HOLLY!"

Holly raised her eyebrows at the floor.
"Wouldnt put it past you," she muttered.

"AGAIN WITH THE ACCUSATION!" Natalie screamed, "AS IF I DON'T FEEL LIKE CRAP ALREADY HOLLY!"

Holly ignored this and looked at Raven.
"Could you do something?" she asked timidly, "I know we always seem to need your help but .... ?"

Natalie looked at Raven.

"I used some BeatALot syrum on her heart...and I....um...sucked all the poison from her body...and...I summoned a Phoenix..."

The bird flew through the window.

Natalie put out and hand, and the bird landed on it.

The bird cried over the wound on Shadow's neck, and healed it.

"It would be handy if humans could do that," Holly said absently.

Natalie frowned at Holly.

"Ok..." said Natalie, turning to Raven, :here was the story....basically Meran had Holly and was torturing her to try and get her to kill Shad...and then Shadow told me though mind connection that I could kill her...she told me that she wouldn't die...she would just pretend...so if she is pretending....she is doing an amazing job....and if she's not...then I am going to go into a dark forest and burn myself to death...that's a vampires only way of death..."

Natalie sat by Shadow, praying with all her heart that the heart monitor would jump into life again...that it would all be ok...

There was a thump as Raven hit the floor, having fainted. The nurse returned and looked at the patient, then at Holly and Natalie.
"She won't come back."

Holly stood to cringe at Raven, but did not say anything. She felt the same way.
"You dont know that," Holly said quietly, "She's quite a kid...."

"Has she been bad and sedated again?" Archangel asked, confused.
